I was wondering if anyone knew the title of this horror or thriller movie that is about a bunch of people that end up in a hotel/ motel? I can't quite remember every detail but I do recall the following: There was a couple driving through a forest maybe? It was raining, somehow they end up in a weird residence. It is raining really hard so they run in and are greeted by a old lady and given a room. Eventually a couple more people (couples) end up staying there, they check in by signing a check in book. At dinner there is a very creepy butler. And bear with me because this is where the memories get kind of mixed up: One couple had lost their little girl (she passed away a couple of years ago? Months maybe. Not sure) but they see her around that hotel. I think she tries to help them. They get locked in that house, when they peek out they see that there is some creature outside. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the devil? Because there is a room with the satanic star. That is all that I remember! I'm sorry it was so long but I am having such a hard time finding this movie.

Answer: Sounds like "House" (2008).

Looking for a movie title that was or appears to be set in Alaska or an area somewhat like it. A man is new to a small town, maybe an outsider to the people that live there. He might be a writer. There was something about a boy. Not sure if he kidnapped or found out about a kidnapping. It was a slow paced movie. I think it came out late 1990's or early 2000's.

Chosen answer: There is a movie called Man Outside (1988). Robert Logan plays a former college professor who lives like a hermit near a small town in the wilderness. When a young boy is kidnapped, suspension falls on him because he never tried to socialize with the townsfolk. Kathleen Quinlan plays a lawyer who defends him.

What is the name of the film (might be a British made film) where they are going to close down a community centre, and so to keep it open the kids do a talent show to raise money for it. There is dancing singing etc.?

Answer: Sounds like the movie Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086999/.

I vaguely remember a couple of scenes in a black and white movie I saw on TV when I was a young girl in the early 70's, but made in the 1960's or 1950's. I don't remember the title, and I think the scenes were toward the end. There was an airplane crash, and an African-American mother had her young daughter as one of the passengers on the plane when it crashed soon after take-off. The girl had a doll, and the mother found the doll among the wreckage. The mother had tears running down her face. I remember feeling very sad watching this scene. I want to say that the pilot was Jimmy Stewart or Henry Fonda but I could be wrong. I've been wracking my brain looking for this movie as I very much want to see it again.

Does anybody know the name of a TV movie that was made about Milli Vanili, it was aired sometime after they were found out. Also a TV movie about the the life of Elvis.

drown_2_nite@hotmail.com

Chosen answer: There was a 2000 BBC documentary titled It Takes Two: The Story of the Pop Duo about musical duos that included Milli Vanilli. The duo were also featured in the premiere episode of VH1 Behind the Music. In February 2007 Universal Pictures announced it was developing a film based on Milli Vanilli's rise and fall in the music industry and in February 2011, it was announced that the movie was being rewritten. It has yet to be released. Also, there have been a number of TV movies about Elvis Presley as far back as the 1978 version starring Kurt Russell. There were also several mini-series.

She decides to stay with him. I've looked everywhere, hope somebody can help me out. Thanks.

Help! I'm looking for a movie with a "dark" atmosphere. It had two girls, one of them was kind of goth and lived in a very dark world and the other was all bright and happy. At the end the dark girl kills someone. It's from another country like Hungary or Germany. Also I kind of remember the title had the word mirror in it, but I'm not sure...

Answer: Are you talking about MirrorMask? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366780/.

I really hope this jogs someone's memory as this has been with me for over 25 yrs! My brother and I watched a film one night I would love to have known the name of. The only thing I remember about the film is it was set in the 1960s at some school, and on a Halloween night this group of teenagers get dressed up to scare folk - one is dressed in a long black robe holding big table candle sticks burning away, and the person falls and gets severely burned. Next is a hospital scene where a boy is apologising to the person that's all burned and scared. This is all I remember about the film and my brother can't remember anything about it. Please help and a big thank you in advance.

I'm looking for a old horror movie maybe from the 1980s where a boy works in a funeral home. His four friends die, maybe in a car wreck. They are brought to the funeral home and start coming back to life one by one and start killing - please help.

I have a question about a movie I used to watch when I was a child. I don't remember much of it, only that it was about Christmas and it was animated. It consisted of various scenes about winter, Christmas and happiness. I remember one scene with big sleighs sliding on the ice with happy people dressed in a Victorian manner and kids ice skating. Then, all of a sudden the ice begins to break and this rupture follows the happy people. I do not remember it as being very scary, although I do remember a shot following the breaking ice through this winter wonderland.

If I remember correctly, there was a movie about some kids who snuck into a house where an old woman died. Suddenly they are being murdered by the old woman and came back looking exactly how they did when they died. One person was killed by being stabbed in the back with scissors and came back with the scissors still embedded in the back. I also think that one of the people in this movie played Russ Thompson Jr. In the movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids.

Answer: It's called "Dead Dudes In The House."

I'm looking for a movie that came out sometime in the 90's. Here's what I remember: there was a young girl, late teens maybe, who was in care of her younger brother. The boy had something wrong with his head that I can't remember, maybe autism? Anyway he was seeing this child psychologist and he eventually has the little boy admitted to a hospital over his issues. I think the sister tries to have an affair with the psychologist and tries to kill him when he rejects her but putting him in an icy like by his home after shaking him. I'm pretty sure it turned out in the end that she killed her and the little boys' parents.

Answer: Silent Fall, starring a young Liv Tyler.

I have a question about a subplot/scenario in a movie. It's a comedy, I think, from the 90's, and the man character in the film sits on a shard of glass or something and he shudders and groans as he hands the glass or whatever it was to someone. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Chosen answer: That happened in the "Sabrina" remake from 1995.

I am looking for 90s or 2000 American TV series about spies or secret agent family. The main characters were the father, mother, two daughters and a son. I remember that the younger daughter's name could be Ruby - she had long dark hair with a fringe, and on that fringe she had a a bold blonde highlight. They all knew martial arts. If anybody remembers that series please help me.

Anna Kostyła

Answer: There was a 1990s TV movie, which later became a series, titled "Undercover." It was about two parents trying to raise a family while being secret agents.

I have recently recalled a movie I watched a couple years ago but I do not know the name of it. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me with this. Thanks in advance. Here's what I remember: A guy and his sister realize that they can talk to his girlfriend's ghost that was recently in a train accident. (They saw it in a newspaper) In the end his sister unfolds the newspaper to reveal that her brother was a ghost the whole time. He then recalls that he and his girlfriend got stalled on the train tracks and got out in time, but the girlfriend went back to the car to get her necklace or something. The boyfriend went after her and a train ended up coming right at that moment. I hope that helps because that's all I remember. Like I said, thanks in advance for any answers.

Chosen answer: This sounds like an episode of "are you afraid of the dark".

Answer: It's from "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?" Season 3 Episode 10 "The Tale Of The Dream Girl."

I've been looking for years for an (American) TV series from the 1990s. The lead characters are two women, one blonde and one brunette. The brunette actress has a distinctly foreign-sounding name and is an 'exotic' beauty (of Arab origin perhaps?). Power, money, passion, high society are all keywords for a plot summary. There might be a large inheritance involved, but I'm not sure. The story looks at the relationships between characters and the 'prestige' factor rather than being packed with action/adventure. There is a dark atmosphere to many scenes, heavy innuendos, some mystery... In one scene the brunette actress dressed in a form-hugging black dress and with a 30s (short) hairstyle descends the monumental staircase and makes a "grand entrance" at a high society party. She may be holding a long slim cigarette holder and smoking. I was in high school at the time and I just remember certain images, but I've been looking for the name of this extremely beautiful brunette actress for some time. Does anyone have an idea?

I"m trying to find the title of a series I remember watching in the '80s. It seemed to be set in the mid-21st century, and was an old man recounting stories from his "past" (the 1990s-early 21st century) to his grandchildren. The episodes were all flashbacks to different times in his past, through energy crises, riots, and other significant events. I thought it was called "Golden Years" but that appears to only be the title of a Stephen King mini-series. Thanks!

Answer: "My Life and Times". Helen Hunt played the wife who guest starred in some episodes. It came out mid 90's before Mad about You.

Which Pink Panther movie had Sellers using disguises that included an inflatable dog and an inflatable doll?

Answer: The Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) has Professor Balls presenting Ted Wass, Clifton Sleigh, with disguises including an inflatable dog and doll - it wasn't Peter Sellers though as he had died in 1980.

I am looking for a movie about a young African American girl who lives with her father and finds out that she is sick, then goes looking for her white mother who turns out to have another family that did not know about her. During the process she meets her young sister and the two run away. I thought that it started a young Kim Fields and Howard Rollins but am unsure.

This US film is from the early 1950s or perhaps late 1940s, and is in B&W. A young woman is murdered, and during the investigation the film shows how several characters remember the victim. Striking differences in how they each remember her!

Answer: The Woman in Question (1950), directed by Anthony Asquith and starring Jean Kent and Dirk Bogarde.
