Trying to remember the name of a movie possibly from the 90's. Don't have much memory other than robbers breaking into a family home but turns out that the family are murderers and they have some people locked in a room, tied to beds, tortured. People may be disfigured or it may be from the torture?

Answer: Could be "The people under the stairs" from 1991.

In what movie is there a scene where I think someone is talking and says something along the lines "fed the fish" then it shows pizza crust in the fish tank? it came up at dinner and now all my friends are trying to recall the movie and it is bothering me please help.

Answer: Sounds like a scene from "Just One of the Guys".

Greg Dwyer

I can't remember the name of this movie. I only remember the very end. I believe this family was trying to escape from this town in their car at night. Then a strange animal or creature runs into their car. It looked like it ran into their car on purpose to prevent them from leaving town. The strange animal was never shown. The next day, the family was back at their home like nothing ever happened. A boy was playing basketball while the other family members were doing chores. It was like they were in a trance.

Bkmm

Chosen answer: Sounds like a 2002 TV movie called Disappearances. Harry Hamlin and Susan Dey play a couple with kids, who stop in a desert ghost town. A mysterious force prevents them from leaving and they end up becoming part of the town's other trapped inhabitants.

This movie is not Forever Young with Mel Gibson but the plot is pretty much the same. Two guys some time in maybe the 40's or 50's end up inside of Cryopods. When they wake up they go to their lockers and one of the guys who needs to take medication realizes that his yellow pills are now moldy and ineffective. They leave the facility where their Cryopods were at and go to a McDonalds to try to get something to eat but don't have any money. They eventually realize that they are now living in the 80's and have to find a way to adjust to their new home.

Answer: Sounds like "Late for Dinner" (1991).

Looking for a made-for-TV Western movie (1980's-ish), light drama with a young Sheriff or lawman called (I think) "Longarm" or they called him that. (*No, this is NOT the name of the movie...I checked that already). He's traveling on the road with a young woman his age and a precocious 10-year-old girl who's always mouthing off to him. They're on the road together and he needs to get to a certain town so he can get something done there. Don't remember any of the actors' names.

CCARNI

You will be our hero if you can answer this question for us! We just need the title of this movie! It is NOT "Blow Out" with John Travolta, nor "FX," but it is of the same genre. (Mystery/Suspense/Thriller/Who-Done-It). It came out around the 1970's or 80's. The lead actress COULD have been Cindy Williams, or someone who looked like her. The key scene, around which the whole storyline revolved, was a man and woman holding a private conversation about some crime or secret matter as they slowly walked around a large circular fountain in a public park. The hero of the story, through whose eyes it was told, was a technician who had several shotgun-microphones secretly set up in various hidden positions around the park to monitor that rendezvous point at the fountain on the plaza. The crux of the story is he accidentally picks up a conversation having to do with an impending murder, or big crime, or something. It was actually very well made and suspenseful. Can you remember the name of that movie?

Patriots Press

Chosen answer: This is the 1974 film "The Conversation" directed by Francis Ford Coppolla. It stars Gene Hackman as a surveillance expert who records a couple's conversation on his hidden microphones about what might be a murder plot. John Cazale and Cindy Williams also star in the film.

Korean (Asian) Romance/Drama movie (adult themes) I saw this a LONG while back and haven't been able to find it since. It's about a wife who gets bored at home because her husband is always out. She somehow meets a woman who encourages her to join the world of prostitution, which she slowly does. She gains confidence the more she takes part in it with that woman (who is probably a bit out of her mind) pushing her along the way. I think at one point she sleeps with a guy in a store? I also remember the "pimp" wore very pimpish clothes. Huge hat, cane, cape, all that. The ending is what I remember the most. The wife gets caught by her husband/she catches her husband at the brothel, whereupon we learn the woman who was encouraging the wife to work at the brothel had actually been sleeping with the husband, as he is a regular. This conversation happens while the husband at that woman are having sex and she is choking him. There's also I believe a scene where she gets kicked out and begins to bang on the door hysterically, angrily demanding the money she is owed from the husband. I hope that's enough to help. I've searched a lot and can't find it.

Jaykhach

Answer: It is similar to the (1967) Belle de Jour. Catherine Deneuve plays a bored housewife who becomes a high class escort.

Back in 1996 or '97, I watched what I remember a TV movie named simply CLASS 101. It was about a college dorm kind of movie and they were about to graduate or something like that. I have next to nothing details about it. I know it is not With Honors nor Threesome.

anaelena

Chosen answer: "Life 101" (1995 TV Movie) starring Corey Haim and Ami Dolenz. You can watch it here...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br0y2P32qic.

I saw an animated movie in the 90's (maybe an 80's movie, Secret of NIMH style) where I only really vaguely remember the beginning scene (I think). *At night, possibly raining* Two characters in a small room when a knock at the door comes, the older of the two knew it was threatening so hides the younger behind a cupboard door, then a struggle between the older and intruder ensues (Holding a knife I believe), the light swings about and young'n witnesses this. Any ideas?

Answer: That is Disney's The Great Mouse Detective from 1986.

I am looking for the name of a movie from I think the 90s, about a couple that have a son and he abuses her a lot - one day she tries to call the cops but he stabs her repeatedly outside of their home, but she does not die. I saw it when I was younger and have been wondering about it since.

Samantha Arnold

Chosen answer: It's called "A cry for help: The Tracey Thurman Story".

There was a movie I saw on TV several months ago. It took place in Britain at a school with a student. In the movie, there is some kind of group or band who is popular among kids but for reasons unknown, anyone caught wearing a shirt of the group is arrested. The kid is asked by two fellow students to bring them shirts of the group. He does but when he hands them the shirts, they deny asking anything of him or that they even know him. When the boy turns around, he sees that he's face to face with a cop and his family has to bail him out of jail. What made this movie shocking was that the boy, his sister and his parents were werewolves.

Answer: Wolfblood: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfblood.

Thanks. Also, why would anybody who wore a shirt of the group be arrested?

I'm trying to find a movie and I cannot think of the name - I know it starts with a guy out running. When he gets home he finds his wife/girlfriend dead in the tub. He rents a room he shares with a woman. He locks her in her room and she poisons him with bacteria she was growing in a petri dish.

sccwalker

Chosen answer: It could be the 1992 TV movie, Deadbolt. Starring Justine Bateman as the girl held prisoner by Adam Baldwin. She put some sort of bacteria in his dessert.

I recall a few scenes from a movie or TV special about a young adult (maybe teen, but I think she was a young adult) who goes into therapy and ends up "uncovering" repressed memories of her father molesting her. If I remember correctly the abuse was said to have started/occurred in infancy. The veracity of the story is questioned and the therapist seems to herself have an overly close relationship to the girl. They choose to prosecute the father and it rips the family apart. I remember one of the final scenes where the girl's family is standing on one side and therapist on the other and the girl walks out with her therapist. The movie addresses issues about statute of limitations and the veracity if repressed memory. That's all I can remember.

Kali

Chosen answer: There is a 1993 TV movie with two titles. Not in my Family and Shattering the Silence. Joanne Kerns plays the woman with the repressed memories of abuse. She later takes her father to court.

Trying to find the name of an old black and white movie where a person buys ten or twelve cars and hires drivers then drives through town crashing into other cars that cut them off, doing this one car after another until all the drivers are piled into the one car left. Any suggestion or possible answer would be helpful. Thank you.

Chosen answer: If I Had a Million (1932).

Looking for a movie where a woman wants to live with the indians. All I can remember is at the end the indians flee into a mist or a waterfall and this protects the tribe from having the white man follow them and destroying their way of life.

Lynn

Chosen answer: You may be referring to "Last of The Dogmen" from 1995. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113617/.

SantaJim

I'm searching for the name of a movie I saw when I was about 11 yrs. Old (I'm 52 now), it was a black and white movie, maybe British. It involves a young boy (he sang in a Catholic boys choir) and he sees a man (I think he was in the military) and he kills someone in the boys apartment building. The boy witnesses the murder while he is hiding in the closet. I hope someone out there knows the movie.

Lynn

Chosen answer: It's the 1959 British film, "Tiger Bay" starring John Mills, Haley Mills, and Horst Bucholz.

A quote stuck in my head and I cannot remember whether it was from a TV show or a movie! Anyway, there is a couple and one of them (I think the woman) asks the other why he (/she) doesn't love her (/him) and if it's because she (/he) can't hurt him (/her) OR break his (/her) heart, like the "third person."

What disaster film involved earthquakes, a fire, a childbirth and someone shooting a man dead regarding the loss of a son?

Kenny Benjamin

Chosen answer: This sounds like the 1974 film, "Earthquake, " starring Charlton Heston.

There was a comedy film I saw sometime in the 90's. The movie was about a guy who gets a traffic ticket and loses his license. He is ordered by a judge to go to traffic school to get his license back. He meets other people that are also taking traffic class and they end up getting into crazy adventures. The end of the film has all of them graduating but as the lead guy drives down the road a few minutes later, he sees his friends getting traffic tickets.

Answer: Moving Violations (1985).
