Superman picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Superman is flying with Lois Lane, they climb up through the clouds, with the moon in the background. Their shadow appears directly below them on the clouds. Is there another moon we don't know about?

Correction: The light source of the shadow is the reflection of the moonlight from the clouds above them.

Grease picture

Corrected entry: During 'You're The One That I Want,' Danny falls at the feet of Sandy. When he gets up, you can see dirt on Danny's black shirt, but when they go into the funhouse, the dirt disappears.

Correction: The dirt was probably brushed off before he got into the funhouse.

Halloween picture

Corrected entry: The Myers' house is close enough to be walking distance from where Laurie lives. Yet at the end of the movie when Loomis notices the station wagon right down from the Myers' house, Loomis himself is a mere walking distance from the houses at which Laurie and Annie were babysitting. This is impossible since we were already told the street where the babysitting was taking place at was on other side of town from where Laurie lived.

Correction: The film never says the Myers house is on the other side of town from the Doyle's/Wallace's. Loomis states the distance as 3 blocks after he finds the car. So by the time he encounters Tommy and Lindsay running outside, we can presume he's walked an additional block or two. But the distance is walkable.

Hooper picture

Corrected entry: When the movie crew sets up the shot of Adam West jumping off a ledge to save the dog, the clapboard they use has the name of Bobby Byrne on it as Director of Photography for the movie "The Spy Who Laughed at Danger". Byrne is the actual D of P for the movie 'Hooper', so they simply used the same clapboard for the Adam West shot. On that same clapboard you can see where they erased director Hal Needham's name from it and substituted the fictional director's name "Roger Deal", who was played by Robert Klein.

Nicki

Correction: This is not a mistake. They have all the rights in the world to reuse equiptment.

Force 10 from Navarone picture

Corrected entry: The tanks used by the Germans are Russian; it's the T34.

Correction: The Germans usually recalibrated captured Russian tanks or even used them as they were.

The Driver picture

Corrected entry: In the final chase between the pickup and Firebird, the two cars pass the same Chevrolet Blazer (pale blue with a white top and rear-mounted spare tire) four times. (01:12:50)

Correction: Without seeing the same licence plate more than once, one can't say for sure that it was the same vehicle. There were several of them on the road at the time.

Jaws 2 picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where the shark attacks the boat, Tina's Joy, the boy falls over the side and the boat is pushed several yards. The sail falls off on the boat. We then see the boy in the water, then when the scene cuts back to the girl in the boat, the sail is back up again. (01:10:20)

Correction: The sail doesn't fall off. What we see is just the outer edge of the sail touching the water.

Animal House picture

Corrected entry: During the parade fiasco, Bluto climbs onto the awning of a building to get away from the ROTC geeks. You can see pre-fab steps installed on the awning supports to keep him (Belushi) from slipping.

Nicki

Correction: They were supposed to be there, to enable parade workers to climb on top of the building in order to hang the "Welcome Alumni" banner over the street, and to take it down afterward.

The Fury picture

Corrected entry: I have watched the film's opening scene a dozen times or so, and I still can't really make out what is happening. Which arabs are shooting which? Are they all after Kirk Douglas or just some? Just how does Douglas character survive that explosion on a boat and after shooting Cassavetes' arm, manage to escape from the beach? Pretty much the story of the whole movie; looks good? Yes. Makes sense? Hardly.

S.Holmes

Correction: All the Arabs are working for Cassavete's- though they might not know it. He did it so that he could film it and later use it to enfuriate the son. This would give him added hatred that they could use it against Arabs. Brainwashing. I can't explain the boat.

The Deer Hunter picture

Corrected entry: During the scene when Michael pursues a deer and then refrains from shooting it, the bolt action on his rifle switches from a left handed model to a right handed model. When it switches the shots are flipped, also note other items that are reversed.

Correction: The revealing mistake is not that a GI learned how to shoot right-handed, the mistake is that they switched rifles; from left-hand action to right-hand action. Why would Michael go out and buy "another" 308 Remington(right-handed model) if he is a lefty and already has a left-handed model?

Revenge of the Pink Panther picture

Corrected entry: When Douvier goes flying into the boats because the cop car bumped him, you can see a rope tied between the police and Douvier's car.

Correction: The piece of rope between the two cars is actually a piece of loose trim hanging off the Mercedes after its previous collision.

Heaven Can Wait picture

Corrected entry: Every day the servants fire a cannon, and lower the flag at the Farnsworth estate. It is safe to assume this daily ritual happens at the same time every day. It is always light outside when this happens, except once, when it is already dark.

Correction: Most of the times we see the gun being fired, it is in the summer. By the end of the film, it's well into the NFL season (fall/winter), so the days would be much shorter.

Dawn of the Dead picture

Corrected entry: When Roger and Peter return to the truck yard to hotwire the second truck, if you look outside the front/driver's windows of Peter's truck, you can see a van driving quite close to the action. The four main characters are the only "living" people for miles, thus the van should not be driving around. (Unless some zombie suddenly got his driver's license.) (01:01:30)

Correction: There's nothing in the film that explicitly states that the survivors in the mall are the only humans around. The van could very well have other survivors trying to get away from the zombies.

Damien: Omen II picture

Corrected entry: In the scene at the Military Academy, just after Lance Henriksen has introduced himself to the boys, you will see a platoon of boys about to march off. You will see the guy holding the baton about to move off. As he twirls the baton, you can see the top of the baton fall off to the ground.

Correction: First off, the baton leader does not twirl the baton at all. Secondly, the bottom of the baton falls off, not the top. Also, I hardly see why you think that was a mistake, the baton was apparently archaic and about to fall apart at an instantaneous random moment, not even needing a small applicable force.

Convoy picture

Corrected entry: When the federal agent calls the Rubber Duck over the CB by his real name, Sheriff Wallace acts like he never heard it before. They had contact many times before this and he must have seen the Rubber Duck's drivers license and real name.

Correction: He doesn't ever actually write a ticket. The money exchange is in the form a bribe. That is why it goes from $50 to $70 when he gets mad.

Foul Play picture

Corrected entry: When Chevy and Goldie are racing to save the Pope in the stolen taxi, after he jumps the dirt mound at the construction site the hood opens upon impact when the car lands - but in the next shot the hood is closed again. (01:46:05)

Correction: The hood can be seen closing as Chevy Chase makes a left turn.

Watership Down picture

Corrected entry: When Big Wig explains what happened when he lead the fox away from the rest and they heard a cry of pain, he says something about being just about to stop limping. Problem is, Hazel is the one with the injured leg, not Big Wig. In the book Big Wig does fake a limp to trick the fox, but since he's not seen doing so in the film the comment makes no sense whatsoever.

Correction: The fact Big Wig says "I just stopped limping, you know, ready to run really fast." suggests he was faking a limp even if we don't actually see it. He's already running off into the distance when the fox chases after him, so it's hard to tell either way.

The Buddy Holly Story picture

Corrected entry: In the opening scene of the film where Buddy and his band are playing at a skating rink, Buddy is playing a Fender Bronco electric guitar. The scene takes place in the mid-50's, but Fender didn't make the Bronco until the late 60's-early 70's. Later in the film he plays a Fender Telecaster at the Apollo Threatre. Every actual photo of the appearance shows him playing his trademark Fender Stratocaster.

Correction: The guitar in the opening is not a 'Bronco'. It is a Fender MusicMaster which was produced in the 50's, therefore the opening scene would historically be correct.

Correction: The correct spelling is Emmanuelle - the alternate spellings were to avoid copyright issues with the Emmanuelle series of films.

I Spit On Your Grave picture

Corrected entry: After the hot bath scene, Jennifer locks the door with a bolt lock. In a normal house these locks are inside the bathroom, not outside.

Correction: In a normal house, certainly this is true. However, Jennifer has carefully planned out her revenge, luring her victim back to the cabin in order to kill him. She changed the location of the lock in order to keep him trapped in the bathroom while he bleeds to death.
