I Spit On Your Grave (1978) - 16 mistakes

Revealing: In the opening shot, as Jennifer gets into her car, people on the street, stop, stare and even point at the camera.

Continuity: When Jennifer goes to put her clothes in the drawer, and finds the gun, the position of the clothes in the draw changes in a closeup.

Continuity: After the second rape, on the rock, as Jennifer lays on the rock, her hair changes position between shots.

Continuity: When Matthew rapes Jennifer it is apparent in the closeup, that there are no lens in his glasses, even though there are, in scenes before and after.

Continuity: When Matthew is looking at the knife on the counter, because he has to deliver groceries to Jennifer, the grocery bag keeps moving on the counter, between shots.

Continuity: When Jennifers hears Matthew knocking at the door, while she puts her clothes away, the drawer second down from the top opens itself between shots.

Visible crew/equipment: After Jennifer hears the whistling, she goes to check outside, then goes back up to her room. When she looks at the drawer where the gun is, the boom mike shadow is seen on the floor.

Visible crew/equipment: When the guys tow Jennifer's boat, to take her to be raped, in shots from inside the guys speedboat, camera shadows are cast on one of the mans legs.

Continuity: When the guys leave in the speedboat, one of them throws Jennifer's bikini into the lake. Between shots, the direction of where it is going changes.

Continuity: When Jennifer is on the typewriter, the platen almost reaches the end of the typewriter. In the next shot it is still at the other side of the typewriter.

Continuity: When Matthew smears Jennifers blood onto the knife, the pieces of paper behind him, on the floor, completely change between shots.

Continuity: As Jennifer sunbathes in her hammock, it keeps alternating from being sunny to shady between shots.

Visible crew/equipment: You can see a crewmember in the woods, when Jennifer throws the huge log at the guys, during the big chase scene.

Continuity: After the guys drag Jennifer ashore, and begin to chase her, the amount of mud on her back and face differs through the whole scene.

Continuity: When Jennifer comes out of the water and gets into the speedboat, she is completely wet. But when she begins to ride the speedboat in circles around the lake, she is now completely dry.

Continuity: While in the hammock, Jennifer writes by hand the text, "Finally after weeks of self doubt and much deliberation," however, when she types it she leaves the word "much" out, as the page in the typewriter reads only, "Finally after weeks of self doubt and deliberation." Later, when Andy is reading the typed page and berating her, he reads it with the "much" inserted into the sentence again.
