Stupidity: The series relies on the fantasy that wealthy people with home security systems don't also have security cameras... and that the alarm systems - as well as the cameras and motion sensors - wouldn't be sending emails and text alerts whenever the alarm is deactivated or motion is detected, which every security system in the last 20 years has done.

Suggested correction: I thought that added a bit of realism, since in the real world, clocks are often non-working. On the other hand, if it had displayed inconsistent times in different shots, then it would be a definite continuity error, but it's merely not working. That's not a continuity mistake. That's either a non-functional prop or simply a real-world clock that's broken.
