The Orphanage (2007)

Question: The game they play near the start (the knock on wood game) seems pretty interesting. Is the point of it not to get caught moving or is there another goal? Also, can someone help me with the Spanish translation? I can't hear what the Spanish for Knock on Wood is. Thanks.

Chosen answer: It's a Spanish version of Red Light, Green Light where you'd try not to get caught moving. I haven't watched the film in a while but I believe she says "Uno, dos, tres, toca la pared". Hope that helps!

Homebodies - S4-E3

Question: OK, I don't get it. Who killed Suzanna? Was it the same guy that raped her? And how were the two cases interlinked?

Answer: As I understand the episode, yes the man that raped Suzanna then killed her. She makes the comment during the line up that "he already knows it's me" and I guess you are to assume that he tied up the loose end by killing her since she didn't pick him in the line up and he was set free. And I believe they get fingerprint results that confirm that Kelly James was also responsible for the first crime scene.

General questions

This movie is set in the eighties, probably made in the nineties. The two main characters are girls who reunite after some time. They keep quoting and referring to the Bronte sisters. One of the girls fall for a guy who wears a Smiths t-shirt. The setting is gloomy and in the UK. The copy I saw had "demo copy not for resell" scrolling on it. I have never seen this movie for rent or sale.

Answer: I'm not sure it's the correct movie but could it be "Career Girls" from 1997?

Answer: John Cleese was reciting the poem "Molitva" by Mikhail Lermontov. He learned and memorized it phonetically and has admitted that he had no idea what the words actually meant.

Angela Brown

Answer: Archie indeed recites the second and third strophes from Lermontov's poem, "The Prayer." "There is a might inspiring Each consecrated word, That speaks the inconceivable And holy will of God. The heavy load slips from my heart, Oppressing doubt takes flight, The soul believes, the tears break forth, And all is light, so light!"

Drillbit Taylor (2008)

Question: Does anyone know what song the kid sang when he came out from behind the tree on Drillbit's date? I feel like I should know the song, but I don't.

Answer: It's "Hero" originally recorded by Enrique Iglesias but preformed in the movie by Adam Ho.

General questions

This was a comedy show that I think was part of ABC's TGIF line-up, but it might have been Nickelodeon. A single mom with a teenage daughter and younger son somehow found a genie, who was a man with dark hair. I remember a Halloween episode, where the mom wished that the genie had to be a normal human with no powers for Halloween (since she had explained that Halloween was about dressing up as something scary, and having no powers was what the genie thought was scary). It was on in the late '90's or early 2000's. Does anyone know the name of it?

Answer: I believe what you're looking for is "You Wish" which did air on ABC in 1997. It starred: John Ales as Genie, Harley Jane Kozak as Gillian Apple, Nathan Lawrence as Travis, and Alex McKenna as Mickey. Hope that helped!
