Revealing mistake: When Sarah is leaning over Tom to speak to Yuan on the intercom at the McNerney gate, Yuan is looking at the monitor in the kitchen. The monitor shows the car and there is a person wearing a white shirt sitting in the passenger seat of Tom's car. It can't be Sarah, who was sitting in the passenger seat, but now is leaning over Tom in the driver's seat, plus she is wearing a red coat. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: Tom and Sarah drive up to the main gate and Yuan looks at the monitor in the kitchen. On the monitor it shows 'main gate camera 1', for the camera situated above the gate. However when Tom and Peter drive up, the monitor in the kitchen shows that the camera above the gate is 'main gate camera 2' and the camera on the intercom box next to the car is 'main gate camera 1'. Revealing mistake: When Tom is threatening Peter with the poker in the hotel room, Peter does a kata stance and blurts that he studied with a Chinese grand master. While looking at Christian Kane (Peter) hamming it up, we see Brittany Murphy (Sarah) start to laugh, but she tries to keep it together for the take, given the seriousness of that particular moment. Continuity mistake: When Sarah approaches the server that the ashtray is on, the ashtray and other items are positioned differently in this shot, than when she picks up the ashtray in the close-up. (01:17:20)

Continuity mistake: Tom recalls the incident with Bags and in the first shot the tennis ball is on his desk, but in the next shot the tennis ball is on the floor near Bags. Tom did not put it there between shots. (01:02:20)

Continuity mistake: At Hotel DuReve, while Sarah says goodbye to her mom on the telephone, seen leaning against the windowsill is a tall lean wood stick, and the small white lace pillow is upright on the bed. In the next shot the pillow is lying flat on the bed. Then when Tom tries to force the plug into the outlet, in the front shots that windowsill is seen behind him and the stick is not there. Revealing mistake: Tom and Sarah are in the lavatory on the airplane fooling around. She sits on the counter and puts her hand on the faucet. Before it starts to spray water, we see the hole that was drilled into the side of the spout in order to make it spray the water sideways! (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: Waiting to go together into the smelly lavatory on the airplane, Tom and Sarah stand outside the door. In the close-up Tom's red sweatshirt is off his right shoulder, but in the next shot it's back on his shoulder. Her hair is different in both shots too. (00:31:20)

Revealing mistake: Peter and Sarah are in the car on their way to meet with Henri at his estate. In the car Peter pours champagne into a flute for Sarah, but the champagne has no bubbles because it is really apple juice or some other non-bubbly drink. (01:07:55)

Audio problem: When Tom and Sarah stomp out of Hotel Gianna, he yells, "Hooker!" and she yells, "Murderer!" When he yells, his lips are not saying the word hooker. (01:05:20)

Continuity mistake: When the woman shows Tom and Sarah their room at the Pensione, the woman's top sweater button is closed. In her close-up it's open, but then it's closed again. (00:51:05)

Trivia: Some of the interior shots seen of the Pensione Funicello were filmed at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Robert Kennedy was shot in the hotel's pantry in 1968. (00:50:45)

Continuity mistake: At the Hotel DuReve, when they first enter their room, Tom jumps onto and off the bed. Doing so, he causes the small white lace pillow to slip down on the bed, but when she jumps onto the bed after him, in the close-up the lace pillow is upright again. Then it's down in the next shot and upright in the next. The brown wood chair changes position in these shots too. (00:38:10)
