Other mistake: In the summer of 2004, in Puerto Arena, Paloma met a man, Nick, who told her that Luis and the other Lopez-Fitzgeralds were just trying to use her, and didn't really love her. Later that night, Nick kidnapped Paloma and tried to rape and murder her. She stopped him by bludgeoning him with a rock, and later throwing him into a support pillar that resulted in a structure collapsing on him and presumably killing him, before reuniting with Luis, Sheridan, and the Wheelers. And yet that fall, after she had returned to Harmony, Paloma flashed back to what Nick had told her and behaved as if she believed what the murdering rapist had told her about the people who ultimately rescued her from him.

Plot hole: During the summer of 2004, a single day in the lives of the characters lasted more than six weeks for the viewers. During the night of this day, far more happened than could ever really happen in one night. In the middle of that night, after Theresa's ordeal on the cliff (which started at night and must have taken several hours by itself), Luis and Sheridan flew to Mexico and had plenty of time to explore Puerto Arena and fight with Paloma. Just the flight to Mexico should have taken most of the night in the first place.

Plot hole: When the doctor told Theresa that she was carrying twins, he told her that each baby had its own amniotic sac and that therefore they were fraternal. This was stated over and over again in the next few episodes. However, identical twins can also have separate amniotic sacs, as long as the egg divides early enough in the pregnancy. It is not uncommon.

Plot hole: Flashbacks have now shown that when Martin Fitzgerald and Katherine Crane left Harmony, Paloma was a small baby, while Julian was a teenager. But if that's the case, then Paloma would have to be older than Ethan, who was conceived on Julian's wedding night with Ivy, which we're now being told didn't happen until after Katherine and Martin left. But Paloma is only eighteen as of August 2004, having just graduated high school. Ethan is at least in his mid to late twenties, having been a practicing lawyer in 1999.

Plot hole: On 8/10/04, Luis asks everyone where Paloma got the necklace with the Crane Industries logo on it. Katherine tells him that a man gave it to her, "a few weeks ago." Although the episode in which those events happened did indeed air several weeks earlier, it was the morning of the same day as experienced by the characters.

Continuity mistake: On 6/24/04, Fox told Whitney that the kitchen at the Sea Cliff Inn had closed for the night. He managed to convince the cook to make a couple of hamburgers for him and Whitney. (This happened offscreen, but they talked about it before and after.) Later that same night, on 7/6/04, Fox and Whitney went with Theresa and Chad to have a full dinner at the hotel's restaurant, hours after the kitchen had supposedly closed for the night.

Plot hole: In May of 2004, Gwen had a job interview is Boston, and she was taking a taxi to the airport. The taxi definitely left Harmony, because when Gwen decided not to go to Boston, the driver told her when they were "back in Harmony." But that doesn't match up with what we know about the airports in the area. Harmony itself has an international airport. Sheridan and Luis flew from there to Mexico, and Theresa's flight to Australia was departing from Harmony. Theresa has also flown from there to Los Angeles. But when Sheridan and Luis flew to France several years ago, their flight left from Boston, and Boston was close enough to Harmony that they had driven there. So if Gwen is going to Boston, then she should either be taking a direct flight from Harmony, or driving straight to the city.

Plot hole: On 7/21/04, Tabitha was using night vision binoculars to spy on Charity and Ivy, and she lamented that they did not enable her to hear their conversation. If she wants to hear them, then why doesn't she use her scrying bowl? It lets her see and hear conversations taking place anywhere in Harmony, and she has been consistently able to use it even without her full powers.

Continuity mistake: On 7/12/04, Sheridan has a repressed memory of herself with bloody hands, holding a bloody letter opener. She tells Luis that, although she has had these nightmares before, this is the first time she saw the letter opener and realized that it was where the blood came from. But we saw Sheridan's nightmares many times between 1999 and 2001, and the letter opener had always been there.

Plot hole: On 6/24/04, Martin and Katherine were in Mexico, reading a Harmony Herald article about Sheridan dropping the kidnapping charges against Luis. But that happened on the same day (not on the same day's show, but rather the same day in the characters' lives) as they were reading about it, so it would not have been printed in a newspaper yet. And even if it somehow had, it certainly could not have been transported to Mexico from a small town in New England on the same day.

Plot hole: Throughout the week of 5/31/04, Antonio and Hank looked for Sheridan and Luis. Antonio repeatedly stated to Hank, in no uncertain terms, his intention to kill Luis. This was no idle threat; Antonio freely displayed the gun he had, and he had previously shot at Luis. Hank is a police officer, and a much closer friend to Luis than to Antonio. So why doesn't he arrest Antonio for attempted murder?

Plot hole: Sheridan's and Paloma's respective ages do not make sense with respect to the Martin/Katherine storyline. In Martin and Katherine's flashbacks, we saw that Sheridan was a little girl, no older than eight, when they left, while Paloma was a newborn. So Sheridan is about eight years older than Paloma. But when Paloma appeared in Mexico, in May of 2004, she was still a high school student. At the oldest, then, she might be eighteen. Sheridan is about two years older than Ethan, and Ethan has been a practicing lawyer since the show started in July of 1999. So Sheridan must be at least thirty, making her more than twelve years older than Paloma.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the 5/24/04 episode, Luis put Sheridan into the back seat of his car and drove off with her while she insisted that she didn't want to go. At the beginning of the 5/25/04 episode, Sheridan was sitting in the front, still insisting that Luis take her home. But how did she get into the front seat?

Plot hole: On 5/17/04, Paloma arrived home with her friends, and they were all dressed in school uniforms, talking in Spanish about the homework they need to do for the next day. But it was long past midnight in Harmony; Kay's dress disintegrated at midnight, and it was only after that that Pilar collapsed and Julian was shot, and both had been treated at the hospital by the time Paloma was introduced in Mexico. Even if she was in far western Mexico (Puerto Arena is fictitious, so there's no way to know.), it must have been at least 10pm, or maybe even past midnight. So why was Paloma just getting home from school?

Continuity mistake: On 5/17/04, when we saw Pilar's hospital room, the people there were different from the people shown there when we last saw the room on 5/14/04, even though the action was continuous. Kay, Charity, and Baby Maria were all in the room with the Lopez-Fitzgeralds when Father Lonigan announced that they were going to begin praying on 5/14. On 5/17, they began the prayer, but the two young women and the baby were gone, while Whitney and Chad had suddenly appeared in the room.

Character mistake: At the end of April and the beginning of May in 2004, Luis was decoding the CDs with the Crane secrets on them. For an extended period of time, Luis left the CDs completely unattended at Hank's house. Luis told several different people that the computer was decoding the CDs and didn't need anybody there to do it. Given that Alistair is virtually omniscient in Harmony, it's ridiculous that he didn't break into Hank's apartment and take the CDs.

Plot hole: The week of 5/3/04, Kay ruined the dress that Charity designed by changing the measurements before Charity actually made the dress. But the timeline made no sense at all. Charity and Miguel were talking about the dress and the fashion industry in the backyard until after it became dark, which in New England in May means that it was at least 8pm. Charity didn't start making the dress until after that. But how late could the Founder's Day Dance be starting that Charity has time to make an entire dress for it after 8pm?

Plot hole: On 5/3/04, Liz followed T.C. into his shed and saw that it contains the car that he was driving on the night of his accident. A year ago, Liz stole T.C.'s key and looked into the shed for herself, and was shocked by what she saw. But when she went in with T.C., she had to ask what that car was, because she barely knew anything about his accident, which is the truth. So why was Liz so shocked to see a car with a big dent in it? That's a very normal thing to see in a shed, I would think.

Plot hole: On 4/30/04, T.C. went into his shed and Liz was behind him and saw inside. T.C. just turned the knob and the door opened right up, so it definitely wasn't locked. But the shed is always locked; that's why nobody else has ever seen inside.
