General questions

I saw a film from the 1990s or early 2000s. I only remember the end where the FBI, mafia, cops, a wanted fugitive (I think), criminals, and one of the main characters all get tricked into meeting at a cafe or restaurant. There is a massive shootout, and I think it was all set up to kill one guy. Thanks in advance for the help; this has been killing me for years.

Chosen answer: This sounds like Enemy of the State (1998), where crooked NSA agents, the mob, the FBI, a protagonist dressed as a cop, and another protagonist (a fugitive) all meet in a restaurant, where a gunfight ensues, and the good guys survive.

General questions

I watched this movie some time in '08 on the cbbc channel, when I was in Scotland. It's about two boys and a girl who have a trolley and somehow go back in time to wartime Britain. They meet one of the boys' (I think his name is Johnny) grandmother. Somehow they stop the air raid signal from going off on time (I think they were chatting with the guy who was supposed to turn on the alarm) and the grandmother is killed. When they return to the present time nobody knows who the boy is. There is a weird dude who owns a burger place and apparently invented the burger (I think he was one of the kids who stayed back in time and told everybody about the burger). They return back in time to put things right, wearing costumes from the 'Sound of Music' to blend in, and change the events so when they return everybody knows who the boy (Johnny) is. I think it ends with them wearing their mucky costumes and the theatre producer having a row at them. This is a British film. If anyone knows the title that would be great.

General questions

I am looking for a WWII film made in the 80's or 90's. It was about a bomber crew that was stranded in a desert with their crashed plane. Towards the end of the film it was revealed that they were all really ghosts and one crew member's remains are never discovered, leaving him in the desert alone. Thank you in advance.

Answer: This sounds like the TV movie Sole Survivor (1970) featuring William Shatner.

General questions

This movie is possibly from the 1970s. The only thing that I really remember about the movie is a scene where people are around a piano, which I think is playing "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and there are lions outside. I believe the lions are stalking the people inside the building. Does anyone have any ideas about the name of this movie?

Answer: Yes, it's Savage Harvest (1981).

General questions

Does anyone recall a fairly recent film where a present day guy, on looking some through some old stuff, is viewing a faded photo of three characters from the American old west. He looks carefully and notices that one of the guns being held is a modern gun and could not possibly have existed in the old west. It takes him on a time travelling adventure, back to the cowboy era.

Answer: Yes. This film is a TV movie called Timestalkers (1987).

General questions

In screenwriting credits with more than one name, what is the difference between "and" and "&"?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: An ambersand (&) denotes that the people named wrote the script together, whereas the word AND denotes that the person named rewrote or added to the script. So "Screenplay by Tom & Dick and Harry" means that Tom and Dick wrote the screenplay and then Harry rewrote it.
