A Perfect Wedding - S2-E18

Corrected entry: During the wedding, Andie spots Jen and Abby 'crashing' the wedding. She yells at them, and makes them leave. On the way out, Abby grabs an available bottle of champagne and takes it with her outside. Later, Jen and Abby both drink from this bottle; behavior which leads to Abby's death by drowning. It's illegal for a person of any age to carry alcohol from the premises where it is served, outside. It's also highly illegal for minors to drink and take alcohol with them from the same location. In this case, underage drinking led considerably to the death of a minor. Normally the institute that served this alcohol would have been in considerable legal trouble for serving (allowing) alcohol to minors, allowing alcohol to leave the premises and be taken outside, and also providing the alcohol that ultimately led to the drowning death of a minor. Whether the institute responsible was the club hosting the wedding, or Joey's family catering business; either way there would have been serious legal ramifications including the taking away of a liquor license. Yet in the show, none of this ever happened or was mentioned. It's also unreasonable that Andie's character, being very conscientious about rules; wouldn't have seen Abby take the bottle of champagne, and not allowed her out the door with it. Andie would more likely have grabbed it back from her and stated emphatically something to the effect of "it isn't legal to take alcohol out of the premises, and you're underage anyway" since she's such a stickler for doing things by the book. This was obviously overlooked as a plot contrivance, in order to allow the story of Abby's drowning.

Season 5 generally

Corrected entry: Early in Season 5, Dawson flies from LA to Boston to visit Joey for the weekend. He only brings a weekend-type bag for the trip, since he's planning on returning to LA after the weekend. But-Dawson doesn't go back to LA until the very end of Season 5. Because of Joey's phone message, he decides to stay in Boston and eventually decides he isn't going back to USC at all. Meanwhile, we never see Dawson fly back to LA to collect any of his belongings from his dorm room at USC. He left most of his stuff there, when he flew out to see Joey for the weekend. But during the rest of the Season, he never goes back to retrieve all of his things from LA, and never has anything shipped out to him or put in storage. So what happened to the rest of Dawson's stuff back in LA? Particularly in his USC dorm room? He probably retained his dorm room for the rest of that semester, since it was only October when he went to Boston. Yet he never goes back to get his 'stuff'. This doesn't make sense, as even though he wasn't sure about USC at first he makes a final decision in episode 7. Dawson doesn't go back to LA until the end of the school year, for the Summer-and his dorm room was probably assigned to someone else for the second semester at USC. So how did he ever get the rest of his stuff from LA? This is never explained at all during the show.

Corrected entry: When Joe buys diapers for his baby girl he takes out a package of Pampers. Then he takes out another one of the same kind and scrutinizes the two as if he were comparing something, and finally puts one back into the shelf. As in nappy purchases expiry dates don't play a role, and as his daughter is already several months old, allowing Joe, who is shown as someone who takes his responsibilities as a father very seriously, sufficient time to become familiar with all aspects of keeping baby bottoms clean, this episode doesn't make any sense.
