Revealing mistake: The opening shot of the camera panning across the New York skyline shows the clouds in the sky remaining in the same spot in the background, making it look as if the city is moving from side to side, and not the clouds, revealing it to be a composite shot.(00:00:01)
Audio problem: When Thing dives from the Fantasticar towards Annihilus and Blastaar, he says "It's clobbering time" with his mouth wide open.(00:14:06)
Factual error: When the heroes fly by the World Trade Center after Annihilus and Blastaar have begun battling each other, the 1 WTC building is missing its spire, and both buildings are incorrectly depicted as being conjoined by what appears to be a multi-level walkway.(00:18:13)
Other mistake: When the detonator in the elevator is counting down from 15 seconds, it counts down at a consistent rate until it goes from 6 to 5, in which case it takes about twice as long as the other intervals.(00:15:36)
Continuity mistake: When Ben first removes the helmet of his exoskeleton, the eye and mouth holes are black. A few shots later, the holes are now the same orange color as the rest of the mask.(00:09:19)
Continuity mistake: When Ben Grimm is wearing his Thing exoskeleton, you can see the mouth of its mask moves when he speaks. After he removes the mask, you can see the mouth area is just a rigid hole.(00:08:49 - 00:09:19)
Continuity mistake: In the shot of the skyline dissolving from night to daytime, a spire suddenly appears on one of the buildings on the left.(00:05:04)
Trivia: When Blastaar comes through the Negative Zone into the Earth dimension, Thing remarks that Blastaar makes him look like Brian Austin Green. Brian Austin Green was the voice of Human Torch for the first season of this show.(00:11:18)
Other mistake: When the heroes are looking over the footage of their fight with Annihilus, Reed has been drawn twice. He is both at the control panel, and behind himself and to the right. The one that is not at the control panel was meant to be Johnny.(00:10:01)
Continuity mistake: When the infomercial host is showing the porcelain pigs from the Age of Enlightenment, one of the pigs is spinning around. When it changes to a wide shot, the pig is no longer spinning.(00:06:50)
Continuity mistake: When Silver Surfer is flying up to speak to Galactus, Galactus' purple visor is incorrectly colored the same hue as his skin.(00:19:05)
Plot hole: The Fantastic Four fly into space in their Fantasticar, and they are not wearing spacesuits or helmets. Even more baffling is after they enter Galactus' ship, they put spacesuits and helmets on, so they can prepare for "spacewalking." They may have super powers, but they still need to breathe oxygen to live, so being in the vacuum of space without any proper suits should have killed them. The Fantasticar later in the episode shows that each seat has the capability of being sealed with an airtight bubble covering, but they didn't show those being used when they were flying in space.(00:08:15 - 00:09:30)
Continuity mistake: When Alicia is wishing the heroes good luck, her forehead and right temple are visible. When the shot changes, almost her entire forehead and temples are covered by her hair.(00:06:03)
Continuity mistake: When Reed changes the channel to the "March of Science" program, the electrical surge strikes the TV antenna on the roof, and you can see a grotesque next to it that wasn't there in previous shots.(00:01:53 - 00:03:26)
