Continuity mistake: As the Peabodys try to determine what crashed into their barn, the DeLorean's left indicator flashes throughout. When the family is onscreen, the barn's interior goes completely dark between flashes - whereas there should be illumination from the headlights as well. Compared to a later point in time where Marty opens the barn door to get shot at, it's not hard to notice how bright the headlights are. (00:31:50)

Continuity mistake: After Marty wipes out in front of the town hall, he clutches the hood ornament on Biff's Ford. As the car turns, Marty moves himself towards the fender, but between shots he repositions and is now clutching the hood ornament like before. (01:07:05)

Continuity mistake: When Doc finds Marty's letter in his pocket, the big hook fastened to the DeLorean's passenger side is seen facing the sky. Pretty soon Marty slides across the hood and into the DeLorean, but now at this point it's facing the ground instead. (01:33:35 - 01:35:50)
