Continuity mistake: In the first movie, Mia tells Brian that Letty lived down the road, was into cars since she was 10 and immediately had Dom's attention, but here Dom tells Letty that he gave her her first scar at age 15, when they first met. (01:08:00 - 01:09:00)

Other mistake: Hobbs asks to see all footage from "in and around Waterloo station." The technician is then asked to "bring up cameras 58 through 62." 5 cameras to cover the entirety of that area is laughable.

Continuity mistake: When we first see Brian with his wife and baby he hands him the toy car. The baby holds a stuffed monkey in his right hand but a shot later he is grabbing the car.

Plot hole: When they have to let Shaw walk out with the chip because he has Brian's family hostage, he walks past all those soldiers and drives out of the base. He tries to use his phone but the crew blocks all signals in the area so they can chase him. We cut back to everyone in the army base and the army have just disappeared, leaving it up to the team to chase Shaw down a runway alone. (01:39:30 - 01:40:50)

Question: Han's death, seen in Tokyo Drift, is seen here, tying up the threads and the jumping timeline leading into Furious 7. Was it always an option to re-feature that down the line to unite all the movies, or as more sequels were made did the makers just realise there was an opportunity to make use of the event?

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: The most logical answer would be that quite a lot of people liked the character Han. Since he dies at the end of "Tokyo Drift" the filmmakers probably came up with the idea of having the movie take place after all the other ones, so as to feature Han in more sequels.
