He tries to use his phone but the crew blocks all signals in the area so they can chase him. Chosen answer: The most logical answer would be that quite a lot of people liked the character Han. Since he dies at the end of "Tokyo Drift" the filmmakers probably came up with the idea of having the movie take place after all the other ones, so as to feature Han in more sequels.
