Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Continuity mistake: Throughout all the movies, the characters discuss several times how much Harry's eyes resemble his mother's. When we see flashbacks of Lily in this movie she has dark brown eyes. In past movies, when she was portrayed as a Hogwarts student, (in most of the same memories) she had blue eyes.

Continuity mistake: After Hermione destroys Helga Huffleluff's cup, the basilisk's skeleton vanishes during the Voldemort tsunami.

Suggested correction: The skeleton could easily been washed away by the tsunami, it was definitely strong enough.

Agreed. The tsunami has enough force to move the remains. Especially as it appears to be a magical tsunami designed to wipe away whatever caused it.

Continuity mistake: In the "limbo" scene at King's Cross when Harry is speaking to Dumbledore, Dumbledore's hair changes frequently. It is covering part of his beard, then is back behind his ear, then is hanging neatly down.

Suggested correction: The camera is never reflected in the mirror Harry is holding.

Continuity mistake: When Snape redirects Professor McGonagall's spell to Alecto Carrow, she falls on the lower platform. But after the camera angle changes, she is lying on the second platform with her brother Amycus.

Other mistake: In the final scene when Harry and Voldemort "connect" their wands, there is a close-up of Harry's face. Although the only light source seems to be the ball of fire between him and Voldemort, Harry's face is lit from his left.

Continuity mistake: During the final battle between Harry and Voldemort, Harry disarms Voldemort and his wand spins out of his hand counter-clockwise, then it cuts to the wand spinning towards Harry clockwise.

Revealing mistake: When Lupin is on the castle bridge and reunites with his wife-right after the scene where Neville beckons the dark wizards that disintegrate in the force-field-if you carefully watch the right hand corner of the screen, a very obvious green screen error can be seen in the castle window.

Continuity mistake: When Nagini (the snake) is moving down the stairs to attack Ron and Hermione, it lunges from midway down the stairs, under the archway. After intercutting a shot of the duel between Voldemort and Harry, Nagini is lunging from the ground, far away from the staircase and the archway.

Continuity mistake: During the duel between Harry and Voldemort whilst they are on the Hogwarts staircase, there's a midshot of Voldemort casting a spell. His arm is at an extreme bend with his elbow close to the top of his head, and his forearm is above his head. The very next shot from a different angle, Voldemort's arm is straighter and his elbow is not bent, with his arm a considerable length away from his head.

Continuity mistake: When Ron is about to cast a spell to destroy Nagini the view of him pointing his wand starts out from behind him and Hermione, before the shot changes we see Hermione turn her head towards Ron. When the shot changes to face them Hermione is looking at the snake then turns her head again.

Continuity mistake: When Filch is holding Mrs. Norris the cat's eyes are not red, but in all the other films they are.

Visible crew/equipment: Just after Harry, Hermione and Ron have escaped Gringotts and land in the ocean, they then wash up on an island and Voldemort finds out Harry is hunting Horcruxes. During that time Harry says "There's something wrong with him". When he says that, the camera wobbles slightly indicating that there is a camera there.

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Dobby's grave at the beginning of the movie has been moved further to the right of where it is was dug by Harry at the end of the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Continuity mistake: When Harry jumps on the dragon, his hair is wet and messed, then it changes to dry and brushed and in the next angle, for a brief moment, it's back to wet and messed.

Sacha

Revealing mistake: When Gregory falls in the fire and dies, while he is falling, you can very obviously tell that it's a stunt double who looks nothing like Josh Herdman.

Cloude2

Continuity mistake: When Voldemort and his followers return for the final battle with Hagrid carrying Harry, the remaining building structure has fires in each section. When Harry and Voldemort land there during their duel, the fires are gone.

Suggested correction: Obviously, the fire had plenty of time to die out.

Continuity mistake: After Voldemort disapparates while Snape is dying, Harry asks Hermione for a flask for Snape's tears. She pulls a vial out of her purse. However, she hadn't had a purse during the entire prior battle, then suddenly has one at this moment. Afterwards, she no longer has the purse in any other scene.

Trivia: In the scene where Hagrid has dropped a "dead" Harry Potter, look quickly at George. He turns his head to the right and yells "Fred!" Fred has already been killed by Bellatrix Lestrange so it seems he may have forgotten this in a moment of grief.

Question: When Hermione goes to Gringotts disguised as Bellatrix, the bank manager asks to see her wand. Hermione has Bellatrix's wands from the previous film. Why does she not simply show it?

bomberswarm2

Chosen answer: Hermione knows this is an unusual request and she and (and Harry) suspect the bank knows that Bellatrix's wand was captured by Harry Potter (at the end of Part 1). Showing the bank manager the real wand would prove that this is not Bellatrix. The bank and Voldemort's minions expected that Harry and the others might go to Gringotts searching for a Horcrux in the Lestrange's vault. They are setting a trap for Harry and his accomplices.

Incidentally, if I remember right, in the book Hermione actually does hand over Bellatrix's wand, not realizing the Gringotts goblins already know the wand is no longer in her possession, forcing Harry to cast a timely Imperius Curse to avoid the entire plan being exposed.
