Plot hole: Laurie calls the police from 1987 Winchester drive, and gives them that address. Yet the police responding to the call go directly to 1960 Winchester drive - where Laurie has run to and is now hiding - even though it's on the other side of the street and several houses down. Laurie takes Loomis' gun and runs upstairs; she is chased by Michael, who, after cornering her on a balcony, charges her head-on and knocks both of them over the railing. Laurie finds herself on top of a bleeding Michael. Aiming Loomis' gun at his face; she repeatedly pulls the trigger until the gun finally goes off just as Michael's hand grips Laurie's wrist.
Suggested correction: Initially Laurie sends Lindsay across the street, back to the Doyle house to call the police. It's possible Lindsay gave the police the Doyle's address (since that's where she was calling from). Since that call was likely made before Laurie made her call, that explains why the police first show up to the Doyle's house (responding to Lindsay's call) and Bracket shows up minutes later at the Wallace's house (responding to Laurie's call).
Deborah Myers: Again? Again? Jesus, what is it with you and this goddamn school? I cannot keep coming down here like this.
Principal Chambers: Look Ms. Myers, I do not enjoy calling you down here every five minutes.
Deborah Myers: Really? It sure seems like you fuckin' do.
Trivia: Danielle Harris, who plays Annie Brackett in the movie also played Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers & Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers.
Question: Why did Michael stop attacking his sister and take off the mask, showing her the picture?
Answer: He was hoping that Laurie would realise that she's really his sister. However, because Laurie was just a baby and raised by another family, she had no idea why Michael was showing her the picture or what it had to do with her.
