After the mistrial, Tommy goes to work with his stepfather collecting styrofoam. He sees that all the styrofoam is from the restaurants connected with the murders and realizes they managers were killed by a psycho environmentalist. He attempts to contact Monica, but she rebuffs him. He then goes to Franks and they go to Monica together. But it turns out that Frank is the Psycho Environmentalist Killer and took the place of a real juror in order to convict Carl Wayne Bishop. He attempts to kill Tommy and Monica, but they are saved by Peanuts. Tommy then kills Frank and is a hero. He goes on to become a lawyer. Peanuts goes on Jeopardy.

Continuity mistake: At the end when Tommy hits Frank with the book, Frank lands on the broken railing so that most of his body is on the railing, including his stomach and one of his legs. You also see the knife fly away from Frank's hand and past the top wooden part of the railing. In the next shot, only a little bit of his body is on the railing and the knife is on it as well.
