Deliberate mistake: At or near the beginning there is a scene with autumn leaves. The colours and amount are just not consistent with the date of September 11. They seem to be about 3 or 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
World Trade Center (2006)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Oliver Stone
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Maria Bello, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Connor Paolo, Anthony Piccininni
Factual error: One scene where a guy is holding a Bud Light bottle, the bottle has the new clear label, that wasn't around in 2001.
Allison Jimeno: How am I supposed to tell Bianca that her father is dead?
Trivia: Outside the Port Authority terminal is a statue of Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden from "The Honeymooners." According to Oliver Stone in the audio commentary, that statue actually exists.
Question: How did McLoughlin's team not see the second plane hit the South Tower? The South Tower is still intact when they first arrive at the WTC. Surely in the time it would take to organize a team to drive down to the complex and enter, the plane would've struck.
