Continuity mistake: When Dr. Sam Foster visits Dr. Ren at the mental institution for advise about his suicide patient, Dr. Ren has a big round patch of beard on his chin. When they both go outside, suddenly Dr. Ren's beard is much smaller and just located under his chin.

A psychiatrist ,Sam Foster (Ewen McGregor) gets an unusual patient, Henry Letham (Ryan Gosling) who says that he is going to commit suicide on Saturday midnight. This has Sam all worried and wanting to try his best to save Henry, while at the same time holding a firm grip on reality himself. As Sam himself is losing his mind, he has to keep up with reality to be able to save Henry.
