Continuity mistake: After nearly getting in an accident, the family is reunited with Sassy and Shadow, and they greet each other on a dry road. In the previous scenes, the road is wet.
Continuity mistake: When Chance is sitting in the road singing "I left my heart in San Francisco", the road goes from being wet to dry depending on which angle we see it from.
Factual error: When the plane is taking off while the animals are on the runway they duck down hoping it will stop and it becomes airborne shortly before hitting them. In actuality they should have been blown backwards from the jets like ragdolls.
Sassy: Does the cat always have to be the brains of the operation? Beauty and brains. I never cease to amaze myself.
