Character mistake: When Nanny is coming home from getting the collars, she calls for Roger and Anita to come downstairs. Plowright accidentally says "Roderick, " rather than "Roger."
Character mistake: When Pongo and Perdita escape from the house, Roger is reading a newspaper with the headline "Fifteen puppies stolen." To the right of this, another headline reads "Mortgages cheapest for over 30 years," where "mortgages" is misspelled as "mortages."
Continuity mistake: Shortly after Jasper & Horace steal the puppies, a blue Renault 4 is seen going past the entrance to the mews. About 3 seconds later it goes past again in the same direction.
Cruella De Vil: And you must be Rufus.
Trivia: When Cruella gets angry after offering the couple £7000 for the puppies and they refuse the offer, she storms out of their house and heads for the car. She then hits one of the two stooges and as she goes to get in the car you can clearly hear her say the word "fu*k".
Answer: It was typical for marriages to be announced in the print newspapers, just like births and deaths. They are public notices.
