Factual error: In the beginning of the film, the famous Taj Mahal can be seen through a window in the harem. But the famous tomb palace is to be found in India, while Bagdad is located in Persia. Obviously an attempt to create an exotic atmosphere.

Suggested correction: The building shown is one based on the Taj Mahal not the actual one.

Factual error: Haroun swings on a rope to knock Sheherazade's buyer off his horse and uses it for both to escape the slave market. Only thing is: the entrance to the market place is higher up than the auction platform, so the swing should have ended right in the steps, not on the higher ground.
