Other mistake: Fallon and Charlie tackle one of the bombs each, and Charlie is supposed to be duplicating the steps that Fallon takes. However, the first screw that Charlie loosens on the cover plate isn't the same one that Fallon first loosens.
Lt. Cmdr. Anthony Fallon: I blew a great big hole in your ship, Captain. I'd better give it back to you.
Trivia: The MacGyver episode "Countdown" was a remake of this film. Initially the bomb defusing scene is replicated in part in the Kurt Russell film "Executive Decision"
