A Day to Die

Stupidity: After Candace manages to break free from being tied to a chair, she runs down the hallway while still untangling the rope around her hands. When she finally removes the rope (after turning into one of many rooms), she throws it onto the floor, thereby giving away the direction in which she fled. Pettis soon finds the discarded rope and is able to recapture Candace. (01:00:10 - 01:01:10)

Stupidity: Pettis and his right-hand man Spade are in a room watching Candace, who is tied to a chair. Immediately after sending Spade to get food, Pettis tells Candace he is going to "relieve himself", thereby leaving Candace alone and giving her the opportunity to escape (which she does). Stupidity: When Joaquin was running from Cornell, he turned into an alley between buildings. He was to the left (of the screen), which was unobstructed, but ran to the right, so he could jump over boxes. Cornell could have also stayed to the left, but ran far enough to the right where he could kick the boxes out of his way. Easily avoiding the boxes would have been faster. (00:11:37)

Other mistake: Connor told his newly-pregnant wife Candace, "So you need to eat twice as much, baby, 'cause you gotta feed the baby now." Maybe this was meant to be humorous, but Connor had just said he reads (meaning knows things) and suggested Candace eat an avocado a day. In general, the first (and even second) trimester of pregnancy does not require ANY extra calories. (00:27:05)

Mason: You are a fucking drug dealer or a history teacher? You hypocrite motherfucker.
Pettis: Why am I hypocrite? Because I make money the same way white folks do?

Trivia: Bruce "appears" more in this movie than many of his recent movies (flops), but they are merely flashes of his character standing or sitting around, apparently reacting to others (by making faces). In the first 30 minutes of the film, there are almost as many two or three second flashes showing his character but with no spoken words. The Bruce "appearances" continue throughout the movie. Most of his "lines" are comprised of THREE to occasionally several words at a time.
