Continuity mistake: When Detective Alex Tardio first enters, he takes off his hat and places it onto a statue on his right. When switching in between shots the hat disappears then reappears.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Martin Lawrence read's Danny DeVito's cellphone number, when he opens the piece of paper with the number on it, you can see the bottom of the styrofoam coffee cup he's holding. He manages to turn the cup horizontally without spilling the coffee inside.

Continuity mistake: Danny DeVito has the lucky ring that he stole from Martin Lawrence pulled off his finger. Martin realises it's the wrong ring, he pulled off the wedding band. Next you see DeVito in his limo and he's wearing the wedding band.

Continuity mistake: If the PAC money for the senators was cash, and Martin Lawrence replaced the bundles of cash with one single note then wouldn't whoever took the envelopes out of the drawer to take to the senate have noticed that the envelopes were suddenly much thinner?

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie when Martin Lawrence and Danny DeVito are wrestling on the boat,the boat hits something in the water. The boat begins to sink and sink quickly, they show them both sitting on about 2 foot of total surface floating above water. The very next scene they show the boat in perfect condition with not a scratch on it and floating.

Factual error: When Detective Alex Tardio first appears in the movie, investigating the robbery at the town house, he picks up Gloria's dog twice. The second time, he identifies it and catalogs its qualities by saying, "The Yorkie is an independent dog but a devoted companion etc." This dog is not a Yorkie but a Brussels Griffon.
