In the shot of her standing up, the blanket can be seen falling to the bed and is not shown touching her. When the shot cuts, the blanket can be seen around her ankles. (01:08:10)
Continuity mistake: When Kurt introduces himself to Ellie, she begins to reach for a pencil for him. She is shown looking at the pencils when she does this, but when the shot cuts, she is looking at Kurt. (00:57:43)
Continuity mistake: Kurt and Elisabeth stand still looking at a painting while other people in the tour group walk past them. When the camera is on them, an ageing woman in a maroon coat and hat can be seen walking past the camera, followed by a taller blonde woman in a white dress. The shot then cuts to behind Kurt and Elisabeth; the woman in maroon can be seen, but the woman in white has disappeared. (00:01:45)

Continuity mistake: When Carl is delivering the Major's wife's baby, the wife is shown grabbing onto the nurse's hand. When Carl says "We must wait for the next contraction", the wife's hand is being held so that it is completely covered up by the nurse's hand. Continuity mistake: When the Major shows Carl the photo of Burghard Kroll, in the shot of him raising the photo so that Carl can see it, his finger is pressed against the top right corner. Continuity mistake: When Kurt's mother joins Kurt and his grandmother to see the bomber planes flying toward the city, in the shot of the mother approaching the two, her hands are away from Kurt. When the shot cuts, her hand is suddenly placed on Kurt's shoulder. (00:31:10)
Continuity mistake: Carl takes out a folded handkerchief to wipe Elisabeth's tear off his shoe. After wiping, it, his hand is placed on the back side of the handkerchief. When the shot cuts, his hand is suddenly placed behind one of the folds in the handkerchief. (00:27:15)
Continuity mistake: When Carl is alone with Elisabeth in his office, he puts the medical report to the side, and he begins to reach for something on the left-hand side of his desk using his left hand. When the shot cuts, his left hand is suddenly directly in front of him. (00:21:44)
Continuity mistake: Elisabeth is handed a small Nazi flag after handing Hitler a bouquet of flowers. After being given the flag, it can be seen bending. In the next shot, the flag is straight and unbent. (00:11:20)
Continuity mistake: On the bus, after Elisabeth kisses Kurt on the head, her hand is shown beside Kurt's head and not touching it. When the shot cuts, her hand is suddenly touching the side of his head. (00:06:25)
Continuity mistake: When Kurt and Elisabeth walk up to the bus door, Kurt is shown directly facing the door and Elisabeth is positioned 90° perpendicular to him. In the next shot, Elisabeth has suddenly rotated 90° to be directly facing the door. (00:04:40)
Continuity mistake: When the tour guide says "There are two possibilities", Kurt and Elisabeth are holding hands. The camera then cuts to a closer shot of Kurt where he and Elisabeth are no longer holding hands, before then holding hands again. (00:02:05)
Continuity mistake: Kurt squeezes the excess water out of a cloth he is using and begins to wipe the stairs with it. When he begins to wipe the step, he is holding the cloth with both hands. Continuity mistake: When the documentary presenter finishes talking about Kurt's art, just as he finishes saying "we can speak of a work without an author", his thumb is pressed against the microphone he is holding. In the next shot, his thumb is suddenly pointed to the left. (02:58:58)
Continuity mistake: When the documentary presenter stands in front of the painting of Kurt and Elisabeth, the cameraman can be seen to the left of the shot with the camera pointed downward. The cameraman then gives the presenter the thumbs up and the camera is suddenly pointed forward. (02:58:13)
