Continuity mistake: The area in front of the Quick Stop is huge compared with Clerks II and III (the movies before and after this one), where there is only 1 car length between the front of the shop and the street. Here, there is at least 3, as indicated by the fence next to Dante's car. Also, in this movie there is an elevated sidewalk in front of the shops, whereas in Clerks II and III the walkway is at street level. (This is due to Clerks II and III using the real shops, and this movie using a set in Louisiana).

Trivia: Comics legend Stan Lee, a friend of director Kevin Smith, was originally meant to have a significant role in the film's climactic third act at the "Chronic-Con" convention, but sadly passed away before filming began.
