Continuity mistake: Elias makes it so that Kyle can't touch his glasses, and drags his wife away. Nicole Kidman is facing the door, but in the next shot (Kyle is shoved to the ground) she is facing him. (00:31:45)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the "You deserve to die" scene between Ben Mendelsohn and Nicole Kidman in the kitchen, the cork on the counter (its bottom) is facing left. She then faces the knife racks, and the cork is facing right. Goes back as it was when the camera angle is the same as before. Same for her left bang; gone, long to the breasts, gone. (00:32:40)

Other mistake: Sarah steals the tranquillizer syringe (which is no small syringe, either) and supposedly slips it in her sleeve. Problem is, Nicole Kidman is wearing a pretty tight dress with sleeves that go up to the elbows. There is no way for her to hide the syringe that way (and in fact the actions of hiding the object and then later in the movie pulling it out happen in shadowy close-ups). (00:36:20)

Continuity mistake: When Avery moves from her mom to his dad to hug him after being captured, Nick Cage's hair is suddenly more neatly arranged than earlier, and switches again between neat and messy on the right a couple times. (00:36:20)

Continuity mistake: When Elias says that "the younger the kidney the better" and Kyle understandably reacts to the phony story with an insult, the grip on his daughter's shoulder changes. (00:37:30)

Other mistake: Kyle and his daughter manage to free themselves burning (at least in part) their scotch tape bindings. The robbers don't realise that. Try to burn similar tape with a lighter; the smell (that they can't mask) is gonna alert anyone, especially when they get this close. Later Kyle is working the weakened tape and in close-up we see just his forearms, but the kind of movement he does is impossible to make without moving the rest of the arm, and the bad guy (with his accomplices) is literally looking at him at that moment. (00:50:00 - 00:54:00)

Continuity mistake: After kicking the heck out of Kyle, Ty grabs him and drags him against a wall. Kyle is suddenly holding his arm, and Ty has both hands clasped together but without underhooks on Kyle like he had before. (00:56:10)

Continuity mistake: Jonah passes the phone to Avery, so she can stop the security from coming. She grabs the phone with her left in the first shot, then in the background we see her with the phone in her right hand. (00:58:35)

Factual error: Avery crashes the car on purpose at top speed against a street lamp and undoes at the last moment Petal's safety belt. Neither airbag is deployed on impact. (01:16:10)

Factual error: In the climax of the movie, Nicholas Cage uses a nail gun like a marksman, hitting with precision the bad guy that holds his wife tight. Besides this skill of his coming out of left field, a nail gun does needs a surface against the opening. It does not shoot nails in the air without pressure being applied, it's a Hollywood trope. (01:18:45)

Other mistake: The gasoline at the climax of the movie catches fire, which is absolutely fine...but the fire spreads with the same intensity and speed across the money pile which was not touched by the gas. And it does it with a pattern, too. But the gas never got there. (01:21:45)

Other mistake: Succinylcholine paralyses you for about 10 minutes; in the movie it lasts way longer, and the bad guys were planning to use it instead of ropes and cuffs. It would have bought them a really short time, surely insufficient to make their planned escape to Mexico, while tying them up with just about anything (zip ties, scotch tape) would have given them potentially hours.
