Revealing mistake: When Brooks throws the kidnapper against the poster case and then punches him, it's painfully obvious his punch didn't connect. His fist is a good 6-8" away from the kidnapper's face. But they still play a punching sound effect and act like he got punched.
Continuity mistake: When Max gets punched by the kidnappers when they first break in, watch Annie. Her hands go from down on her knees to up playing with her necklace between cuts.
Continuity mistake: When the actor playing the FBI agent is handing out the folders, and Max sarcastically asks if the FBI wants them to solve the kidnapping, watch Max. He goes from looking at the actor to looking down at the table between cuts.
Audio problem: When Brooks and Max trade places during game night and Brooks taunts Max by calling him "Pretzel-boy," watch closely... Brooks' mouth isn't moving, revealing the line was added in post.
Continuity mistake: While Brooks is telling the embarrassing story about Max trying to give himself fellatio, he says the line "He couldn't unhook himself!" Instantly between cuts, his hand goes from up in the air to down by his waist.
Continuity mistake: When Kevin and Michelle tease Ryan about "needing the validation of Instagram models, " watch closely. In between shots, Kevin and Michelle are instantly looking in different directions and doing different things. (Ex. Between shots, Kevin goes from facing Ryan to facing down, and Michelle goes from holding her own drink to pouring a different drink for Kevin).
Continuity mistake: When Ryan and his date sneak into Max and Annie's house, Ryan knocks over some plants, spilling dirt all over the counter in front of it. It briefly cuts to Max, and when it cuts back, Ryan has put the plants back upright but almost all the dirt has vanished from the counter. It's totally impossible for him to have cleaned up all the dirt in the mere second-or-two that passed between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Max and Annie are talking about whether to invite Gary to game night, after Annie says that Gary has got worse after his divorce, Max turns and looks at her RIGHT before the shot ends. But in the very next shot, suddenly he is facing down and away from her.
Continuity mistake: When Gary points out that Max and Annie have three bags of Tostitos chips, watch the bag in Max's hands. Before Gary says his line, everything is pushed down relatively far, with only the very top few inches of the chips and some celery visible. After Gary's line, when it cuts back to Max and Annie about two seconds later, suddenly the chips and celery are all sticking much higher out of the bag.
Continuity mistake: Max's shirt (left arm) is dripping with blood while the crew is at Gary's house, and he (Max) is using Gary's computer. Later in the movie there is no blood on his shirt.
Audio problem: Annie states that her phone went to sleep while trying to find the bullet. She uses her nose to wake it up and as soon as she does that, she can be heard saying "here we go" but her mouth doesn't move.
Continuity mistake: Max dripped blood on the dog from his elbow and the dog had blood in a large spot behind its neck and left shoulder area. In next frame the dog is shown with blood in the spot and all down its left leg. (00:58:00)
Revealing mistake: When Max and Annie are driving the car towards the Bulgarian's plane, there are a few exterior shot of the car, and you can blatantly tell that "Annie" is a stunt performer in a bad wig. Her head and especially hair look MASSIVE in these shots, compared to how small her head and hair usually are. (It's especially noticeable in the shot that's following the car from behind).
Revealing mistake: During the scenes with the cast on the bridge, there are clear traffic directing cones and lights visible in the distance, depending on the angle. This was done to prevent people and traffic from getting onto the closed set.
Suggested correction: Incorrect. They make a point of showing that there are "Bridge Closed" and construction signs on the bridge, and you can even see some construction equipment on the bridge itself. The cones and lights are not there to prevent people from getting onto set... they're part of the set dressing, since the bridge is meant to be closed down for construction in the scene. That's why they chose the bridge as a meetup point... there will be nobody to interfere.
