Continuity mistake: In Riri Williams' dorm room, the number of braids hanging over her shoulder changes frequently while Riri and Shuri are talking.
Other mistake: When Captain Collins climbs out of the water after falling in, her tank top is completely dry. (01:22:00)
Continuity mistake: When Nick and Javi switch shoes, the camera shot on the floor shows that the shoes they have already switched are on their right feet. When they switch permanently, they both give each other a right shoe.
Continuity mistake: As the "lone wolf" escapes on the bike, there's a fancy swooping camera shot which tracks him, cutting to a shot from the front just as he scythes between two dark cars and past a police car. In that quick shot a woman suddenly appears cowering by the police car who wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: When Sarah fires at the jeep chasing them she brings the weapon back in with the slide in the normal position, in the next shot it is in the locked back empty position. (01:26:50)
Continuity mistake: In the final battle, Lin Mi Sheng has her hair pinned up in a French twist. Her hair changes very frequently between shots and combat sequences. Sometimes it switches from a French twist to a slick chignon.
Factual error: One of the warriors tells a trainee they move like a sloth, more than once. Sloths are only found in the "new world", not native to Africa.
Other mistake: When Jaeger is teaching Searcher how to throw. Through the scene Jaeger is handling Pando without gloves and Callisto is wearing fingerless gloves while also handling Pando. They should both have been shocked by the energy from the Pando. Jager is not immune, as he and Searcher are both shocked later by the Pando roots while using pickaxes to free the pando roots from the creature's heart later on in the movie.
Revealing mistake: The front view of the pirates in the golf cart with Darcy and Tom does not show the driver turning the steering wheel at all, which would mean the road was straight, but the when the road becomes visible again, it is diagonally behind the golf cart. (00:36:45)
Continuity mistake: At the start, a door opens up to reveal Jack standing there before going down a hallway. In this first shot, he is not wearing the ceremonial ribbon thing around his neck but rather holding it in his hand. Then suddenly it appears already around his neck in the next shot of him from behind and then visible from the front. It's a little more visible or evidently missing in the colour version of the film. (00:02:21)
Deliberate mistake: Considering the position of the surveillance camera (height and angle - almost parallel to the side of the building as well as to the sidewalk), plus the lens being indented within the outer frame, it would not have been able to capture a view of Redd on the sidewalk below like it did. Continuity mistake: Smoke was no longer coming out of the wrecked car when The Thief had his back to it while he was shooting at a thug's feet, but it resumed when The Thief turned around to face the car. (00:05:20 - 00:05:43)
Continuity mistake: While the 2 main characters are playing pool the balls keep changing position and so does the cue chalk. (00:14:00 - 00:17:00)
Revealing mistake: The views to the right and left of the truck on the road did not flow in the manner expected if they were actually there (as opposed to using a green screen). Also, as soon as a "stop" sign could be seen to the right, the camera shifted to the driver, who kept driving as though the stop sign was not there. The structures to the right of the truck were blue but became white when the camera shifted to a front view (not using a green screen). (00:01:20)
Revealing mistake: The 50 dollar bills that appear in the opening credits all have the same serial number (and you can find online the texture they used with great ease, just like the one for the 20 dollar bills stack). (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: The positions of the two black SUVs relative to the driveway and garage are different when Justin is reviewing the recording and looks at images from opposite sides. In the first view, the SUVs are not pulled up close to the garage doors; the garage is at least a car's length away because it is not visible to the left of the screen. In the second (opposite) view, the SUVs are parked close to the garage and the SUV that is supposed to be parked near the corner of the driveway is further away. (00:25:30)
Revealing mistake: Jimmy's [Matthew Lawrence] glass of cola on the table is filled to a level slightly above the groove (mortar joint) in the cement block wall. The next front view shows the top of Jimmy's glass slightly above the same groove and the level of cola is about 2" below the groove. A little later, the level of cola in the glass is like it was earlier - slightly above the groove. A cement block wall is stationary and nobody raised or lowered the table; use of a green screen can explain the anomaly. (00:08:05 - 00:08:41)
Continuity mistake: The orange feather toy that was in the cat bed with the cat when Sam got to the bookstore was not there a couple camera shifts later. (00:25:33 - 00:26:25)
Deliberate mistake: The thug wearing headphones and facing the money on the shelves did not notice that Savage forcefully opened the door several feet to his right, slamming it against the adjacent wall, or that Savage had entered the room. The bang to and vibration from the door hitting the wall should have been enough to overpower the sound from his earphones, but - even if they weren't - his peripheral vision should have sensed the door opening and Savage entering. Continuity mistake: Before the family went outside, the fire extinguisher was part-way below the window sill. When Peter (father) went inside, the fire extinguisher was away from the window sill (more toward the right of the screen). (00:07:33 - 00:09:12)
