Continuity mistake: Maggie was holding two bottles (clear containing a green liquid) in her right hand and set them on the table together with one at an angle behind the other. She moved her hand away and when the camera shifted to a wide view, the bottles were side-by-side (horizontal to the screen) with more space between them. Also, both bottles were almost full, but had less in them when Maggie handed one to Grace at the airport. (Maggie may have had a sip out of hers, but not Grace's; both looked unopened). Revealing mistake: Near the beginning of the movie, there does not appear to be a curtain (or window) on the left side of the screen (e.g, when Samantha is sitting on the couch), but there is near the end when Chloe enters the now-empty room. Continuity mistake: On the train, Margaret's hair had a distinct uneven, broken part (the middle section running parallel to the first and third lines), but her part was linear when she got to work. Continuity mistake: At the "Wave Hair Salon", Ms. Gordon has a curler/roller at the top of her forehead. In some shots, it is straight, but in other shots it is angled. Revealing mistake: The candles on the long dinner table are numerous and clustered, but linear in front views of people seated at the table. Based on how the candles are disorderly arranged, it would not be possible to show a couple or few candles spaced apart in front of one person. (00:05:35)
Continuity mistake: Daryn starts running/jogging in summer foliage. Autumn foliage is shown in an aerial view, then it switches back to summer and Daryn is running on the street. When Daryn says "bye" to Ms. Murdoch, there is spring foliage behind him but summer foliage behind him when the camera shifts. It is one timed-running session and he is wearing the same clothes. Continuity mistake: Brahms was quite clean for having been buried under dirt and leaves. No dirt fell off Brahms' body when Jude pulled him out of his "grave" and there did not appear to be dirt in his hair. When Sean (Jude's father) held up Brahms, the doll looked relatively clean - or cleaner compared to when Liza (Jude's mother) started to wash him. (00:14:10 - 00:15:45)
Continuity mistake: The protagonist receives her gift from Molly Shannon. She unwraps it and puts the discarded wrapping on the counter. When we see it again at the end of the scene, the wrapping is much less torn apart than the first time around (or at least has been arranged neatly). (00:09:45)
Continuity mistake: After the announcement from her boss that she is scheduled to 'marry' her quasi-fake BF, Ana goes to the gym to meet her friend. When they are talking, she says "it's been forever, it's already kind of worn out." Ana's ponytail is in front of her shoulder, and goes back behind her back in the next shot. (00:10:00)
Continuity mistake: Theodore rides once the tiny rollercoaster; the cart comes to a full stop and his left foot is in the space between the bars, but in the next shot the left foot is on the outside. (00:48:00)
Factual error: After sleeping in and being late for practice, Jack is driving to the gym. It is supposed to be morning yet the shadows made by the sun show the sun is setting over the ocean and therefore evening.
Continuity mistake: The protagonist just arrived to his college. Long shot as he gets off the taxi, and to the right of the frame you see a group of 3 girls crossing the street and walking on the lawn. Cut, and the 3 girls have yet to cross. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Towards the beginning of the flashback, Jahkor gets thrown to the ground. The legs of the bully in the close-up cast a shadow over Jahkor's body. Cut to the next shot, and the shadow is away from Jahkor in a blatant change of direction of the light of the scene. (00:09:35)
Continuity mistake: During the introductory meeting with Nicole Kleiber, her glasses on the desk switch back and forth between open and folded. (00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: Theo lays Susanna's phone down - when it cuts back to her phone is lying in the opposite direction.
Continuity mistake: The first time we see the girl the main character fawns on, people on the background keep changing between shots during the beach volley game. (00:08:20)
Audio problem: When we are first introduced to Hayden lecturing the classroom, the shots from behind do not match the sound with the movement of his jaw.
Continuity mistake: There are some continuity problems during the cafeteria scene where Fern is being introduced to her co-workers. Fern is holding a banana, peeled almost to the bottom, and has several slices of banana on her peanut butter sandwich. There is another banana peel on her paper lunch bag. Fern is shown taking a bite of her sandwich. A little later, Fern is holding a partially peeled banana but no slices can be seen on her sandwich. If this is her second sandwich, she already peeled two bananas. (00:05:59 - 00:06:32)
Factual error: It would not be possible for Kyle to see the woman breast-feeding - and certainly not as shown. Kyle was driving an SUV in the left lane and Swin was the front-seat passenger. When a car was approaching the SUV from the right-hand lane and the rear passenger area was approximately side-by-side at the SUV's passenger window (which is DARK-TINTED!), Swin looked toward the car, but his face was right in front of the frame around the windows - he would, at most, see the woman's left shoulder... and the baby was feeding "on the right." I doubt Kyle would have been able to see any part of the woman when he turned his head to look. At most (and this is unlikely given the height of the SUV), he might have gotten a partial glimpse of the woman's left shoulder and only after the car she was riding in was in front of the SUV's windshield (but still in the right-hand lane).
