Later, he goes to meet Annie, and she has suggested they meet at Colson Bay, which is "in the middle." He is on a train, and he says that in 4 hours 12 minutes he will meet her. Even ignoring the fact that the train ride duration may or may not be four hours 12 minutes, that cannot be, as they are meeting "in the middle" of that distance.
