Continuity mistake: Violet's mom is hot combing her hair at 5 AM; as she performs this operation on the left side, the right side has straight black hair all in front of the shoulder. When Violet tells her that dad is coming, she moves to the right side. Sanaa Lathan's hair now is suddenly all behind the shoulder. (00:05:20)
Continuity mistake: On his way to work, Antonio meets his ex Camilla.During their conversation, as it's particularly evident in the subway stairs sequence, passersby vanish every time the camera cuts to another angle. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: Deanna is playing racquetball with her friend when she hits her in the lady parts with the ball. The two sit down by the wall; look at the bottle Melissa McCarthy is holding; it's practically empty, but in the closer angle when she sobs "What am I doing?" it is almost completely refilled. Continuity mistake: Darren is smoking salvia in the first scene in the hotel room. He lies down on the bed; his hand changes position between shots several times. (00:03:30)

Continuity mistake: The area in front of the Quick Stop is huge compared with Clerks II and III (the movies before and after this one), where there is only 1 car length between the front of the shop and the street. Here, there is at least 3, as indicated by the fence next to Dante's car. Also, in this movie there is an elevated sidewalk in front of the shops, whereas in Clerks II and III the walkway is at street level. (This is due to Clerks II and III using the real shops, and this movie using a set in Louisiana).
Continuity mistake: In the van after they pick up Preacher and he mentions it's cold. Preacher leans up to the front and looks over Dax, asking about his head being too big. There are several cuts between shots here before Preacher slinks back into the van and his position of his head and shoulders changes between almost every one in various positions. (00:33:50)
Continuity mistake: When they reach the plant in Mexico and Richard is introduced to the plant manager and his right hand man, Richard points to him with an empty hand. In the next shot before he points to the other guy, suddenly his cellphone appears in his hand that he's pointing with. (00:17:00)
Continuity mistake: When Phil heads to the Puppet Pleasure place early in the film, the positions of the shadows change around the vehicle parked out front in the close up, revealing the time laps between filming each shot. (00:06:30)
Continuity mistake: When Rick and Kirsten are at the game, just after they shout at one of the players, Kirsten drinks from her cup, but in the next shot, the cup is suddenly back in the armrest holster. (00:33:40)
Factual error: Simon receives an email notification at the dinner table from Blue on his cell phone. The cell phone screen indicates that the time is 3:20, which is inaccurate for a mealtime because it is already dark outside and crickets are chirping when he excuses himself to go outside to get some air. Continuity mistake: In the bar scene when Renee sneaks up behind Vivian, she puts her right hand over Vivian's mouth, then has her left hand on top of her right hand while covering Vivian's mouth; and then a moment later in a new camera angle, her right hand is over her left hand. (00:27:00)
