Continuity mistake: When Carrie-Anne Moss leaves the house to bring drinks to her son and Fido, she closes the red front door behind her. When we cut to Fido's POV of her approaching, the door is wide open.
Continuity mistake: When Tom is showing his co-workers the video he shot of Wesley eating a hamburger, the video clip is actually of Wesley eating the first hamburger, which happened before Tom started filming him. You can see Tom's reflection in the window, and he's just sitting, not filming anything. (00:32:45)
Continuity mistake: When Carrie hides in the guys locker room she videos John saying "Let's just say, at tonight's away game I'm gonna be scoring more than baskets". In a later scene when Carrie replays the video to Kate he says "I will have you know, at tonight's away game I'm gonna be scoring more than baskets".
Continuity mistake: Many of the flying scenes have unrealistic changes of altitude. The planes will be able to see people on the ground, and in the next action shot, they will be thousands of feet in the air.
Continuity mistake: In the newspaper fight scene in the restaurant, the waitress is seen about a foot behind Maurice as he is initially attacked. From the opposite camera angle, the waitress alternates between being missing or about ten feet away.
Continuity mistake: When Tanzie and Ava are going to the woman's house to ask her about her skin condition, as Tanzie gets out of the car, her bag is already over her shoulder. In the next shot, she's pulling it over her shoulder again after holding it in her hand.
Continuity mistake: In there scene where Mark is stripping for Andrea, there are several instances where his pants are down, with his boxers showing, then back up, with belt buckled, then back down again. This happens many times through this scene and is blatantly obvious.
Continuity mistake: At the start, in shots from the stage towards the audience, all of the fires are lit, but in a closer shot of the audience near the front of the stage, at least one of the fires is out. During the final illusion shown at the end, the same shot or at least very similar to the one used at the beginning shows the same mistake again. (01:28:25)
Continuity mistake: Right at the start of the paintball game, we see that one of the players does not have a hopper (paintball holder) on the top of his marker (paintball gun). And he is firing blanks.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where May McGorvey is writing the letter to Ronnie in the hospital, the two "n's" are very close together, almost looking like the letter "m." This is shown again when Ronnie discovers it in her belongings when returning from the hospital. However, when he looks at the letter on the table after doing the dishes, it is two distinct "n's."
Continuity mistake: In the scene near the end where Brooke tells Marilyn Dean she is leaving to travel, the view is from Marilyn's perspective and Brooke folds her arms. The shot changes to from behind Brooke looking towards Marilyn and Brooke's arms are down by her side. The next shot is back from Marilyn's view and Brooke's arms are folded again.
Continuity mistake: When Farley drives through the fence after tying the rope to the front bumper of his van, the rope remains tied until the head on shot of him looking terrified traveling straight down crashing toward his buddy, Simon, when the rope disappears. Magically, it returns (still tied to the vehicle's front) a 10th of a second later in the following side shot of the van, right before crushing poor Simon. (01:07:50)
Continuity mistake: When Roger is drunk and getting into bed, his alarm clock changes from 11:39 back to 11:38.
Continuity mistake: When the Prime Minister is preparing to make his golf swing, his shawl is alternately bunched up and then spread out smoothly.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the film, Burton is continuously called the wrong rank. He introduces himself to Huard as Lieutenant Commander Burton in the beginning. Then calls himself "A 36-year-old, out-of-shape Lieutenant" when he boxes Huard, and is called Lieutenant Burton by the boxing coach during the fight against Cole.
Continuity mistake: Tom's spacecraft is first seen rotating on its axis while it travels upward along that axis. When the scene cuts from the exterior to the interior and Tom lands on the ground, the stars outside are no longer moving in a way to indicate rotation, although the illusion of upward motion is preserved. The fact that we see the stars moving at all is a bit unrealistic given how fast one would have to travel for this to be noticeable, but since this is fiction and in the future we can imagine it is possible. Continuity mistake: In the second wedding scene the amounts of confetti everywhere, changes.
Continuity mistake: In the scene after the 'one year later' title, where Anderson wakes up on the couch, he is wearing red plaid boxers. The following shot shows him feeding the mouse, followed by a shot of Anderson again, but this time he is wearing grey underwear while he drinks pickle juice.
Continuity mistake: When Taj is proposing the challenge to Charlotte the close up shots of him show him facing straight on standing square, but the distance shots he is standing at about a 45 degree angle to her looking to the right to talk to her, not facing straight on to her. (00:35:20)
Continuity mistake: When young Kostya is standing on the table with the jump rope tied round his neck, its knot repeatedly changes position, from Kostya's front to his back.
