Continuity mistake: After Chuck Norris throws away the pimp during the initial evacuation of the embassy, the man pulls out a gun and shoots Chuck Norris from behind. The bullet hits him in the right shoulder but at the next moment - seen from his front - the wound is on his left side.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the Jaguar when they get the BBC bulletin that the farm has been found, there is a Hillman Super Minx immediately behind them. Next shot it is missing but returns later.
Continuity mistake: During the scene when Tom Berenger is crossing the cable car by hand, the amount of rope coils left in Sidney Poitier's hand varies from shot to shot.
Continuity mistake: At the cafeteria, Beverly says he’s tired and eats a candy bar. An instant cut later from the shot behind, his arm is lowered.
Continuity mistake: In the scene before the race, the butler is leaning against the wall smoking. When he gets off the wall, there is a large grey smudge on his black suit, but the next time we see the back of his suit there is no mark. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the classroom, when the new student comes into the class with a slip to give to the teacher, he takes the slip from her. Then, the scene cuts to Lou Diamond Phillips following his gang leader out the door. Then, the very next cut, the teacher takes the slip from the student yet again, and tells her to have a seat in the empty desk in the back.
Continuity mistake: At the start of the film Christopher Reeve is being chased by a German on a Motorcycle. The Motorcycle used is a Jawa 350 two stroke, but they dubbed a four stroke sound on top. When the chase goes off-road the Motorcycle then transforms into a Motocross Motorcycle. (00:02:00)

Continuity mistake: Michael Manfield (Danny Pope) walked to the Phillips' house for the in-house music presentations, but on his way home when he was sitting by the lake, his bicycle was on the ground.
