Goober Goes to an Auto Show - S8-E22

Factual error: Goober and the Taylors stop and get gas in Raleigh before heading back to Mayberry. As they are waiting, a Coors Brewing Company truck is seen driving past the service station. Coors Beer was not sold east of the Mississippi River until the mid-1980s.

Factual error: On the 28th Jan episode, Gary is interviewed by his comanding officer having not shaved. The cap badge he is wearing is of the Royal Army Ordinance corps which were amalgamated in 1993 into the Royal Logistics corps (different cap badge) and the belts worn by the two soldiers behind him are from neither regiment. Also neither the RAOC or The RLC are infantry regiments. Gary is supposed to be in the infantry but he finished his training in Pirbright not Catterick where all the other infantry soldiers are trained.

Factual error: In "The State Vs. Chip Douglas", Ernie finds his missing 1914-D penny when it falls out of his pocket. A close-up shows an Indian head penny lying on the floor. The problem is that Indian head pennies were not minted after 1909.

Factual error: As the opening credits roll, the boys are crossing a bridge into NOLA, and Buzz tunes the radio into a local station, "WWL, New Orleans, 870 on you AM dial".however, a close up of the 'Vette's radio shows the pointer sitting just to the right of the CONELRAD marker, which was 640 on the dial.
