Continuity mistake: About two thirds of the way through the show, Marty and Frasier are talking in the living room. Marty is sitting in his chair with a glass of milk. The Gift Horse - S5-E2

Continuity mistake: Marty and Sherry are looking at old photos to use at Marty's birthday party - we can see one in Sherry's hand that has noticeable brown marks down the back, as though it had been glued in an album. The next shot shows Marty passing this one to her, even though in the shot before it was in her hand. When Sherry passes the picture over to Niles and Frasier, in the shot when they get it, it's not the same photo, as it is clean on the back.

Murder Most Maris - S11-E8

Continuity mistake: In Cafe Nervosa, after Niles has taken off all his clothes, Frasier wraps him up in a couple of Cafe Nervosa aprons and Roz picks up Niles' clothes from the floor. In one shot, we see his tie towards the top of the pile in Roz' arms, and in another it is swinging free at the bottom of the pile. The clothes change position in her arms from shot to shot. In one shot the boxers are still on the table, with a newspaper. In a subsequent shot, Roz has the boxers. When Niles is being taken outside, the table nearest the door has only a cup on it. In the next shot, we see the newspaper on the table again.

Continuity mistake: In the same scene where Bebe's hands change position from shot to shot, and Frasier is warning Roz about Bebe having no reflection, Frasier's hands on Roz's arms change as well. In some shots his hands are on her upper arms, in others they are on her lower arms.

Freudian Sleep - S11-E14

Continuity mistake: When Frasier and Marty are talking about going to Ronee's cabin, Ronee is sitting on the right side of the couch with nothing behind her. In the next shot, she gets up and we can see a light brown overcoat. The Placeholder - S11-E5

Continuity mistake: During the opening credits of the show, Frasier and Roz are in Cafe Nervosa. Frasier has a fabric shopping bag, and in some shots you can see the leaves of one vegetable and in other shots you can see the leaves of two vegetables. These leaves are quite large and distinctively different.

The Candidate - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: The waitress brings Frasier his coffee just as Niles begins to say "Anyway," and she is back behind the counter as he finishes the word. There just wouldn't be enough time in real life to do this. (00:03:55)

Three Dates and a Breakup (2) - S4-E20

Continuity mistake: Niles and Frasier have drugged the rottweilers with some of Maris' pills and Frasier points towards the french doors and says, "The dogs are getting drowsy." We see the dogs dropping to the ground. The next shot of the doors, a couple of seconds later, shows no sign of the dogs, although they were visible from that angle just before that.

Selling Out - S1-E9

Frasier: Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
