Frasier: Hello, Rachel. I'm listening.
Rachel: Oh, thanks for taking my call, Dr. Crane. Um, I'm involved in sort of a strange love triangle.
Frasier: Oh goody, this is sweeps week!
Frasier was not originally meant to have a brother. But the show's creators saw David Hyde Pierce and realised he looked remarkably like a younger Kelsey Grammer. So the character of Niles was created especially for him. See more...

Updates: Series 3
Continuity: Frasier and Roz are in the kitchen talking, and Frasier says "over thinking things can spoil anything", and we can see Roz lifting a glass of water in her left hand. The shot changes and she now has her right hand up to her mouth and a split second later there is a sticky bun in that hand.
Continuity: Marty and Niles are getting off the elevator and Marty transfers his mail into his left hand just as he goes to open the door to Frasier's apartment. When the shot changes to show them coming into the apartment, the mail is in Marty's right hand - there is no way he could have transferred the mail again in such a short time.
Continuity: In the opening scene, Niles goes to pour sugar on his spoon and the top of the sugar dispenser comes off and disappears - it looks like it goes into his lap. We don't see the top again until after the teenager says, "Aren't you going to yell at them?" and suddenly it is in plain view, on the right of the table.
