The plot of the episode is eerily similar to that of the Terminator: Joe Morton's character is given a second chance, going back in time one day at a time to stop a murderer from killing his wife, trying to clear his own name in the process. Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Revealing: Toward the end of the aqueduct chase, the T-800 pulls John off the bike and it is crushed by the semi. The camera jerks upward as John is pulled off, and you see that Robert Patrick (John) has been replaced with a stunt double. You can tell that it isn't him by the longer, darker hair and the fact that he has somehow grown by about a few inches.
