Question: According to imdb.com, the woman who provided Snow White's voice in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs also provides the voice for a character named Juliet in this film. Does anyone know who this is supposed to be?
Answer: While Tin Man sings "If I Only Had a Heart" we hear a female voice ask, "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" and it is in fact Juliet who asks that question - as in "Romeo and Juliet." This is the voice of Adriana Caselotti.

Answer: Yes. Tim Burton will direct the film and Johnny Depp will star as Wonka. The name of the film will be, 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', just like the book that the movies are based on. Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2004.

Question: In the extended version out later this year,will we see The Houses of Healing, The Mouth Of Sauron, Sam wearing the Ring at Cirith Ungol and Faramir and Eowyn falling in love? After reading the book, I really hope I eventually see this added to the film.
Answer: We will see: The Witch King taking Gandalf's staff. Saruman dying at Orthanc. Merry swearing allegiance to Theoden. Gamling dying on the Pelennor Fields. House of Healing, with Aragorn, Merry, Eowyn and Faramir. Frodo and Sam marching with Orcs, while wearing the armour. Mouth of Sauron deceiving Aragorn with the Mithril shirt.

Question: In the sequence when the beacons are being lit across Middle Earth, who is living at the top of the high snowy mountains to light those beacons and pass on the message?
Answer: Firstly, the beacons are only across the border between Rohan and Gondor, not across all of Middle-earth. Secondly, the few people living near each beacon are only there because that is their job, just like sentries along any other border.
Question: I feel like an idiot for encouraging the way the entire plot of this movie is laid out in the questions page, but, how do the pirates know exactly what they need to do to lift the curse? Does Aztec gold come with an instructions manual or something?
Answer: The Aztec chest has inscriptions on all of its sides. After Barbossa and the rest realized that there indeed was a curse, they went back to Isla de Muerta and learned how the curse can be undone, by deciphering the inscriptions. This is when William Bootstrap Turner decided that they all deserved to be cursed and remain cursed and then sent one piece of the gold to Will, his son, living in England.

Question: Does anyone know if there is a deleted scene (to be included on the Ext. DVD) involving the Mouth Of The Sauron fight at the Black Gate, which is featured in the book and video game.
Answer: Yes, there will be the Mouth of Sauron scene, (played by Bruce Spence, I believe), in the Extended DVD. They will be greeted by the Mouth of Sauron, and he will show the heroes Frodo's mithril shirt that was taken off by the Orcs at Cirith Ungol. He will tell them that Frodo is dead and the Ring is on its way to Sauron. Aragorn and the rest believe him, and the heroes thus have no hope and believe they will surely die in this last stand against Mordor's army. Aragorn says, "For Frodo" because of his sacrifice, not for 'buying time'.
Question: Why didn't Elizabeth turn into a skeleton when exposed to moonlight? She had Will's medallion for more than half a decade after all.
Answer: The Aztec coin must be removed directly from the Aztec chest in order for the curse to take effect. Hence, Jack getting cursed deliberately when he palms one of the coins while Will witnesses Jack's actions. That is also why both Will and Elizabeth do not have the curse upon them, they never removed the coin from the chest.
Question: Is there a PotC sequel in the works? I assume the scene after the credits wasn't there for nothing...
Answer: The working title at present is: Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Treasures of the Lost Abyss, due out in 2005. So far the cast signed includes Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. Gore Verbinski will direct and Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio are the writers again.
Question: In the scene near the end, Jack talks to Norrington about the strategy they should use to approach the 'unsuspecting' pirates. Then Jack goes on to say something quite confusing about how there is possible danger on the ship. We then see Elizabeth being forced to go into some room. She blames Jack and mentions something about the curse. She then unwillingly goes into a room on the ship, even though there may be possible danger on that very same ship. How is this Jack's fault? What does this have to do with the curse? If there is danger on the ship, why put Elizabeth 'safely' away in a room on that very same ship? What exactly goes on in this part?
Answer: In his plan, Jack expected the pirates to get to the Dauntless via the boats, remember in the cave with Barbossa he asks,"Not to the boats?" He also expected Norrington to go back to Dauntless and to 'blast the bejesus' out of the pirates. Thinking that Norrington would keep firing cannons at the pirates until the curse is lifted in the cave at the 'opportune' moment for Jack. It didn't occur to Jack that Norrington would stay with the small boats and that the pirates would walk under water, board and attack Dauntless unnoticed. He didn't want to risk Elizabeth getting in the way of any of his plans, he doesn't trust her and it was his small payback towards her, getting her 'protectively locked away'. Norrington and his men don't know about the pirates' curse, Gillette was just humoring Elizabeth when she blurted it out, as she was being put into the stateroom. Neither Elizabeth or Jack told Norrington about the curse because it wouldn't benefit either of their motives. Her motive is saving Will and his is killing Barbossa. She knew Jack's clever and that it was his doing that got her locked away.

Question: Did I miss Arwen's return to Rivendell in Two Towers? Elrond talked her into leaving; she walks off to the ships with other elves, looking back at Elrond. In Return of the King, she is back at Rivendell, and is again persuaded to leave, and rides off on a horse in a parade going to Gray Havens.
Chosen answer: She does not walk off to the ships in The Two Towers. She and the other Elves start walking to leave on their journey to the Grey Havens. In Return of the King, she is on horseback, during the Elves journey towards the Grey Havens, when she sees a vision of her son wearing the Evenstar, and of Aragorn. She then changes her mind and decides to ride back to Rivendell and confront her father, who has the gift of foresight, about her future life with Aragorn.

Question: I've heard 2 main explanations from friends as to why Frodo, Gandalf and the elves go to the undying lands at the end of the film and I've read another post which explains it a bit but I'm still confused. One is that it is because Frodo dies and cannot stay where he is and that it's like going to heaven but the other is that he's just going on an adventure or something like that. I think the first explanation makes more sense but I'd appreciate if someone could explain it to me properly because I'm still confused.
Answer: The bearers of the three Great Rings - Galadriel, Elrond, and Gandalf (who was given his ring by Cirdan the Shipwright), all pass to the West to the Undying Lands, for their time is ending. The Elves do so because their time in Middle-earth is ending too, and it is the time for men. Frodo, just like Bilbo, and when the time comes, Sam too, were all Ring bearers, and they all go to the Undying Lands with the blessings of the Valar. Frodo who leaves with Bilbo because the burden and pain were so deep for him, goes to the Undying Lands where the Valar will not only heal Frodo's physical wounds but emotional ones as well.

Question: Is John Rhys-Davies really that small? If not, how did they make him look like a dwarf?
Answer: No he is not small. As a matter of fact he is the tallest actor of the Fellowship. He had a scale double, Brett, who did much of the work involved in all three films. In many shots, where it was really John portraying Gimli, it was simply a 'trick' of the camera, through depth perception, allowing the viewers to think he was that small. This 'trick' of the camera was used for the Hobbits as well, who all had scale doubles too. Peter Jackson also had small sets built that were duplicates of the large sets in order to achieve the effect properly.

Question: I don't remember the episode, but I think it was in season 6, there is reference where someone calls someone else "Tennille." Who's that?
Answer: It's from 6x25, TOW the Proposal: Part 2. When Joey enters Central Perk dressed up like a yacht captain and looking for Chandler, Rachel quips, "but you know who did stop in here looking for you? Tennille." Rachel is referring to a successful duo in pop history, Daryl Dragon and Toni Tennille. A husband and wife singing team, known as The Captain and Tennille.
Question: How come Will doesn't know his father was a pirate? And who was his mother?
Answer: Will grew up believing that his father was a merchant sailor. Since that meant that William Turner would spend a good deal of his time away from home, it was easy for his father to keep the secret from Will and perhaps even the mother, that he was in reality a pirate. We don't know specifically who Will's mother was, only that she raised him in England until she died.

Question: In the extended version, Aragorn calms Brego down by speaking Elvish to him. What does he say in Elvish, and is there a translation?
Answer: "Man le trasta, Brego? Man cenich?" Which means, "What troubles you, Brego? What did you see?" This is why he says to Eowyn that Brego has seen enough war, and to set Brego free.
