Forrest Gump (1994)

Corrected entry: At the end, Jenny looks way too healthy for someone a few days before dying of AIDS. (02:03:55)

NancyFelix

Correction: It is not stated definitively that Jenny has AIDS; she says it is "some sort of virus" possibly alluding to the HIV viral infection. Also, she could have died of heart failure secondary to the viral disease, or any number of other complications (drug toxicity, internal hemorrhage, massive stroke) that come on suddenly and without prior visible symptoms. Diseases are very unpredictable, and a person can be very near death and look just fine.

Correction: Even though it's not specially mentioned in the movie, Jenny did not die from AIDS or HIV-related causes. Jenny actually died from Hepatitis, due to her previous drug and IV needle usage earlier in her life. At the time that Jenny stated this to Forrest, both AIDS, HIV, and that specific form of Hepatitis were all very new, and the various symptoms were often confused with each other. This was confirmed years later in a documentary about the movie.

Correction: Kathy Baker does appear in the segment 'Fantasies about Rebecca' as a customer of the bank. And many actors choose to remain uncredited, as Glenn Close does here.

Thelma and Louise (1991)

Corrected entry: When Louise speeds through between two police cars the side mirror of one of them flies off. When the police car is shown again the mirror is back in place. (01:53:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: The side mirror is from the women's car, not the cop car.

Corrected entry: At Samuel's funeral (actually his heart's) Alfred, who had his right leg injured in the war, is standing with a crutch under his left arm. (00:45:45)

NancyFelix

Correction: The crutch is under his left arm on most occasions (on arrival, at the funeral, strolling with Susannah, at the grave). It is a matter of taste whether or not to have the crutch on the same side as the weak leg. It is recommendable, for balance, to have the crutch under the right arm if the right leg is injured. Yet some people find it easier to have the crutch in the arm on the opposite side because it mimics normal walking (your left arm swings paralell with your right leg and vice versa.) Moreover, it is not uncommon to alternate between both ways because using a crutch can be quite tiring for the arm.

Corrected entry: Jack agrees to take Joan to Cartagena for $375 in Amex travellers cheques. That's a weird sum, considering that there are no $5 cheques. (00:29:05)

NancyFelix

Correction: It is true AmEx doesn't issue $5 travelers checks but they do have $25 checks and 15 of them would be $375. This would be about right if she had already cashed one from a book of $400.

Wolf (1994)

Corrected entry: After Will washes his face in the lake he suddenly gets startled the blood on his hands. He should have been surprised earlier when he was looking down at his hands before he dipped into the water. (00:51:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: Well, he HAD just woken up in a strange place after a strenous night (and sleeping on the stony ground afterwards). He was bound to be a bit tired and disorientated when he first sat up, it is only after the cold water splashes his face and wakes him up that his brain is capable of registering the blood on him, and that it is not part of a dream.

The Other Sister (1999)

Corrected entry: When the Tate girls overhear their parents' argument about sending Carla to a special school they are coming down the staircase. The camera cuts to the parents, and when it cuts back to the girls they are coming down the same steps again. (00:04:25)

NancyFelix

Correction: Neither the number of steps nor the girls' feet are shown, so it's possible they kept creeping down to the bottom, rather than a continuity shot on the same steps.

Ral0618

Corrected entry: In the theater, Vito learns from Genca about Fanucci the "Black Hand". Now, here is a man parading the quarter where Vito has lived the better part of his life, sticking out in his white suit and hat, extorting protection money from even the smallest business man, and Vito doesn't know him? (00:45:30)

NancyFelix

Correction: Vito didn't know that he worked for Mazaralla, or the exact extent of his notoriety. He had probably seen Fanucci walking around the place before, just not realised exactly what he was or how powerful and feared he was. He learns this from Genca.

Along Came Polly (2004)

Correction: Lisa's bruise is on the inside of her right thigh and fairly high up. As Claude carries Lisa to the boat the upper inside portion of her right thigh is never visible, so it is impossible to conclude that the bruise has disappeared.

Titanic (1997)

Corrected entry: When Rose and Jack join the steerage party he unbuttons his uncomfortable collar. Thereafter it hangs loose either in front of or behind the shoulders alternatingly. (01:05:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: Well, everyone is dancing during the party, so his collar is most likely moving around because of how active he is.

Correction: If you mean from when she entered the bar and went to the parking lot, then of course her curls are going to get straggly and worn out. She's been dancing all night with a guy who's been all over her, and she's sweaty.

Thelma and Louise (1991)

Corrected entry: It's not clear how Thelma and Louse meet J.D again to eventually give him a ride. Since afterwards they carry on in the same direction it seems that they met him on their way, but then he must have picked another ride and overtaken them, for which there is no evidence. On the other hand, before and after they picked him up there are two shots where they pass the same stretch of road with narrow telegraph poles and a red sign on the right in opposite directions, which means they did go back, but we never see them turning around. (00:44:55 - 00:47:40)

NancyFelix

Correction: They didn't go back. In a deleted scene on the DVD, it shows that he did get a ride from some bikers that ended passing Thelma and Louise. Even though it's not shown, one would imagine that he had to have gotten a ride from someone else in order to be ahead of Thelma and Louise.

Jane Doe

Corrected entry: When McMurphy makes the chief raise his hand to vote in favor of watching the world series and Miss Ratched declines it again, he starts shouting that the vote is now 10 to 9. It's actually 10 to 8, as he himself had said a little earlier. (00:45:20)

NancyFelix

Correction: McMurphy is getting angry when he states its 10 to 9. It's a simple slip of the tongue.

Titanic (1997)

Correction: The spit is realistic, there isn't too much liquid.

Corrected entry: When in the opening scene at the station the train starts moving Frank's men hear Harmonica's tune. He appears behind the leaving train, but in the wide shots he has both hands down while he is heard playing. Only in close-up he is holding the harmonica to his mouth. (00:10:50)

NancyFelix

Correction: This is incorrect. Throughout the whole scene, Harmonica has one hand holding his bag and the other holding the harmonica. At no time does he have both hands down.

Gavin Jackson

Corrected entry: Bob leaves the hotel for the airport in the morning, but towards the end of his taxi ride the street lamps come on and it's evening. Tokyo is big, but not that big. (01:32:00)

NancyFelix

Correction: There is nothing in the film to suggest that the final shots of evening Tokyo are related to Bob's taxi ride at all. The last we actually see of Bob is when he gets back into the taxi and tells the driver it's all right to go, when it is morning. The shots immediately following are just random shots of the skyscrapers in Tokyo at later times of the day, more or less giving closure to the film.

Out of Africa (1985)

Correction: The reflection is of Denys' pants and his tall boots. You can see Karen's white skirt right next to it.

Philadelphia (1993)

Corrected entry: When Joe buys diapers in the supermarket and a gay law student makes a pass at him, he gets angry and storms to the door, bypassing the cash counter. It's a bit far fetched that he was so upset that he forgot to pay. (00:58:35)

NancyFelix

Correction: It's not a bit far fetched. Some men are so offended when a man makes a pass at them that they need to get out of that situation ASAP.

The Hunted (2003)

Corrected entry: One of numerous absurdities in this movie is the whizzing noise that Hallam's knife produces during the stabbing training. (00:46:40)

NancyFelix

Correction: The whizzing noise that you hear during the stabbing training is coming from Hallam's mouth and not his knife. Sometimes during hand-to-hand combat training and the like, a student will make blowing noises such as the one heard to accentuate and separate the movements made in a combination.

Corrected entry: When Sands meets Bellini, the plate with his food appears on the table between shots when he gets served, and we see the waitress setting down only a little bowl. (00:01:10)

NancyFelix

Correction: From the angle the plate of food is obscured from view but she puts down two plates. The one we see waitress put down is a small cup, which looks like a sauce for the meal.
