Continuity mistake: In the middle of the film just after Hector has killed Menelaus, they run away, and on the far away shot, you can see they are some distance from Menelaus body, yet when it cuts to a close-up shot of them running they have barely passed the body. (01:14:25)

Continuity mistake: Close to the end of the film when we see Priam in Achilles' tent talking to him, in one shot you see Achilles looking down at his feet or away from him, in the following shot, he is looking directly at Priam. (02:02:25)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the first battle when we see Achilles' soldiers penetrate the sands of Troy, Achilles throws a spear through a guys head. But if you look closely at the previous shot, the soldier's body is side-on, obviously so he can shoot the arrow, yet when it cuts to the spear going through the head, the soldier is completely facing Achilles. Continuity mistake: In the scene close to the beginning of the film when Steven Hiller is talking to his friend in the locker room, the ring accidentally falls out the locker, and they both look behind them, yet in the following shot they are facing forwards. (00:36:05)

Continuity mistake: At the very start of the film when we see Maximus for the first time, he is talking to his friend Quintus. Two boys run past, yet when it cuts to another shot they have vanished. We should have been able to see them at least running off in the background somewhere. (00:03:40)

Continuity mistake: In the scene near the start of the film where Achilles ship has just arrived on the sands of Troy, the ship gets fired upon by flaming arrows. The camera cuts to a shot aboard the ship where you can see a soldier jump over the side, his shield and spear on his right arm. Yet when he lands the shield and spear have switched to his left arm. Continuity mistake: In the scene near the beginning, where Achilles is standing at the palace where the golden statue is, he throws a spear into one of Hector's men. When the shot goes to him, you can see that he has his left arm stretched out; you can see his hand. Yet when Hector rides on, the soldier on the floor now has his arm beside him and not outstretched. (00:43:20)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film when Del goes to USR Robotics, there is a shot that pans up to Dr Lanning's body, if you notice his eyes are either closed or barely open, yet in the following shot they are much further open. (00:10:50)

Continuity mistake: When Captain Hiller begins his attack with the rest of his crew from El Toro, when we see the room where the General and the President are, a man says "Missiles have been fired", it shows on their screen a countdown of "metres to target". It does a countdown of 5000 to 4000 twice, and 4000 to 3000 twice. Also, when we next see the countdown before the missiles hit the shield, the last number is 49m, then the following shot of this number it says 107m. (00:57:50)

Continuity mistake: At the very beginning of the film when the two leaders of both armies get off their horses, in one shot, the leader with the grey hair can be seen behind the horses walking up, yet when the camera cuts to another shot, from the other leader's perspective, he is now in front of the horses. Continuity mistake: Close to the start of the film when Del and his Chief are in the bar, in one shot we see Del drink his bottle with two fingers on the bottle, in the very next shot he is suddenly holding it with only one finger around the neck. (00:32:45)

Continuity mistake: Close to the beginning of the film when we see the Casse kids leaving the trailer park, and Russell Casse rushes up and says, "You read my mind," the shot of the motorhome we can see a map or something, and in the following shot it's vanished. (00:33:55)

Continuity mistake: At the start of the film when Del is in the USR building and is looking over Dr Lanning's body, if you notice the shoe changes position from being not far from the body to some distance, also, it changes direction from the first time we see it, we are looking at the heel of the boot or the front, then it is completely side on in the next shot. Continuity mistake: At the very beginning of the film when Del wakes up he reaches over to turn off his alarm clock. The red book, whose cover was partially under another book in a prior shot, has now moved. (00:01:55)

Continuity mistake: When the alien aircraft at the beginning of the film first breach the skies over New York, when the camera cuts to peoples reactions, in all shots behind them the sky is filled with clouds, and when it cuts to the alien aircraft, the sky is blue. (00:22:55)

Continuity mistake: Close to the end, when Spooner goes to help his friend, the camera cuts to the lad running down the street, and there is no car, yet when Del appears, his motorbike bounces off a car, that wasn't there in the previous shot. (01:22:25)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, when the President is being briefed by his members of staff, there is a General wearing a blue uniform sitting by the left armrest of the couch, with his back all the way back touching the backrest. In the next shot, still by the left armrest, he is now sitting farther forward at the edge of the couch. (00:12:55)

Continuity mistake: At the end, when Dr Calvin, Del, and Sonny are in Robertson's office, when Sonny starts to trick Viki, Calvin has her body side on, then she is completely facing Sonny, then back to side on, then finally back to facing Sonny again. (01:27:55)
