Continuity: In the opening scene, we see the bus driving on the right side of the road. When the shot goes to the guy eating the doughnut, look outside the window and the bus is about 2 feet (if that) from the curb. Yet, when we see Peter in the rear view mirror, there are now a lot of cars parked at the curb that we didn't see in the previous shot. (Time)

Revealing: Flash attacks Peter in the school's hallway. We are supposed to witness Peter's incredible speed in one shot, as he dodges a punch in slow motion. Flash's bracelet, however, is motionless. The speed of the punch would throw it back and forth, as it does throughout the rest of the scene.

Continuity: When Peter is practising throwing spider webs in his bedroom, his first attempt hits a model rocket and it breaks in many pieces. A few shots later when he finally hits the Dr. Pepper can, as he whips it across the room you can see the rocket back in one piece, just leaning against the wall. (Time) Submitted by Dr Wilson

Continuity: When Spider-Man catches Mary Jane as she falls off the balcony, in the shot from above there are two columns lying on the ground - one on the right as we look at it, a few feet from the red area and parallel to it, and one on the left at an angle. Continuity: When Osbourne is talking to Peter at the graduation, the scene keeps changing from him having one hand on Peter's shoulder to both to none. You see this just after Harry sees Mary Jane break up with Flash. (Time)

Factual error: In the graduation scene, watch for the giant spiky orange flowers behind Norman Osborn. These are tropical birds of paradise flowers which grow all over California but would never survive in New York. [Confirmation of that: one contributor was taking a studio tour at Sony studios in Culver City, CA on March 26, 2001, and saw the filming of the graduation scene, complete with Tobey and Kirsten zipping by sitting side-by-side in the jump seat of a golf cart.] (Time)

Continuity: Near the beginning of the film when we see Peter waking up and reaching for his glasses, in the previous shot he didn't have the blanket on him or over his shoulders, it's in the background on the floor, yet when he reaches for his glasses the blanket is on his shoulders. (Time)

Continuity: When Simmons is talking about the headlines regarding Spider-Man, the pencils in the cup keep changing positions between shots. Submitted by Sacha

Continuity: When fighting the Carjacker, Peter dropkicks him using a pipe. When Peter does this, the Carjacker has his cap on as he moves out of frame. When moving into the next shot, the Carjacker no longer has his hat, which now disappeared into thin air, never to be seen again.

Continuity: When Peter is following MJ up the street, there are two cars and a jeep in the background. When Flash picks up MJ and speeds away, Peter runs from in front of the jeep, which was further down the street. Also there is now only one car in front of the jeep, instead of several. (Time)

Revealing: When Peter catches MJ's falling lunch, the apple lands on its side and doesn't move at all, despite it being round and the tray being moved about so abruptly. Blatantly glued down.

Factual error: Why would Columbia University have the "most powerful electron microscope on the eastern seaboard" in the same lab room as it would have the spider lab, which is a biology/genetics study? Electron microscopes are useless for studying DNA. The electron beam turns molecules into sludge. All but the toughest organic samples have to be coated with metal as protection, and you can't do this with DNA. Submitted by unkajes

Continuity: When the part of the balcony where Mary-Jane is starts to break, there's a lamp on it. It vanishes the following shot, then reappears some shots later. (Time) Submitted by Dr Wilson

Revealing: When Peter is just getting to the science lab at the beginning right after his friend gets out of his fancy car, if you look at the extras walking behind the two, you will see a BRIGHT red haired girl walking by, going towards the building, but when the camera focuses on Peter the girl is there again, walking the opposite way on the other side of the huge sidewalk. You see her about 5 times going back and forth to the building. The first few times she's alone, then she's walking with another girl.

Other: There is no way possible that MJ, would have been able to fall from the height that she fell from while being knocked from Spiderman's, grasp onto the edge of that cable car during the bridge scene It's hard enough to believe that she would be able to withstand the force of being knocked around in circles while holding onto a web much less landing directly onto the edge of a cable car.

Audio problem: In the scene where Mary Jane is about to fall from the balcony and the Green Goblin appears in front of her, he says "Hello, my dear," but his mouth says something different.

Continuity: In the film Norman Osborn is talking to the board of the company where they announce they are selling the company. In one shot if you look on the table most of the folders that the board are holding are open. The following shot they are all closed. (Time)

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where the fire breaks out in the building, at the beginning a firetruck goes by. At 1:22:02, you can see the reflection of the camera crew on the truck, including a man wearing a white shirt.

Deliberate "mistake": There's a purple tent below and to the right of where MJ is trapped on the breaking ledge. When the Goblin is kicked off of his glider by Spiderman, he falls to MJ's left but lands in the tent on the right.

Continuity: At the end of the film when we see Norman Osborn offer Peter his hand, if you watch he offers his hand twice. (Time)
