Revealing: In the scene after Spider-Man stops the convenience store robbers, it shows a newspaper article. This article virtually repeats itself. Here's what you can read: "Witnesses claim an unknown masked man was seen exiting the Ling Deli after stopping two suspects from attempting to rob the establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail....(cutoff)....attempting to rob that same establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail."

Trivia
The WTC was mostly edited out, but if you look close enough in three different scenes, you can still see it - a few images were left in in tribute. 1) When Peter is sitting on the Chrysler Building eagle, you can see 2 separate rows of lights next to the Empire State Building. 2) When it cuts to Spider-Man's face looking at the city, it is in his right eye. 3) At the end, when he is swinging on the flagpole (this one is the hardest to spot). Spider-Man (2002) - 162 mistakes
Directed by Sam Raimi, starring Cliff Robertson, J.K. Simmons, James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, Rosemary Harris, Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe (add more)
Genres: Action, Crime, Sci-fi, Thriller
No comic book discrepancies, please...
Continuity: After Uncle Ben dies and Peter takes off down the alleyway there is an obvious cut to a green screen. His hair was flowing in the air, then becomes suddenly flat with no wind passing.
Visible crew/equipment: When Norman awakes and throws his assistant into the equipment, you can see it is the assistant's stuntman, as when he is thrown, he has black hair, and the real assistant has brownish-grayish hair.
Continuity: In the Thanksgiving scene where they are waiting for Peter to arrive, Peter swings onto the side of the building and drops down onto the balcony of his bedroom. To soften the drop onto the balcony, he bends his knees. When he unbends them and takes off his mask (the next shot) he is in the center of his bedroom, not on the balcony where he landed in the shot previous.
Revealing: At the end of the movie, when Peter is placing Dr. Osborne on the couch after he died, as Peter is lowering him, Dr. Osborne's hand changes from being stiff to the hand moving to help being put down. While it's possible it was a natural reflex, I don't think that they are able to help lower themselves with their own hand. Dr. Osborne had been dead for a awhile anyway.
Continuity: The scene in the hospital is supposed to take place in winter, since it's after Thanksgiving, but the trees visible outside the window are in bloom.
Audio problem: Immediately when Peter and Harry walk into the room with the genetically engineered spiders, Peter says something like "Wow, that's amazing." His mouth does not move.
Continuity: In the lab experiment scene, Osborn's pulse is tracked on a computer screen, which shows his pulse numerically, and graphically, and emits a 'beep' with each beat. When his pulse accelerates, the meter races higher, but the beeps, though fast, sound consistently at the same rate.
Continuity: At the end of the film, when they are at Norman Osborn's funeral, just before and after they kiss, Peter's hair keeps changing.
Continuity: After the wrestling match when Peter goes to collect his money only to receive 100 bucks, he argues with the guy, if you watch, the guys hand is on the money bills, yet in the following shot, his right arm as well as his hand are on the desk.
Factual error: During the bridge scene, when the Green Goblin first holds Mary Jane by her throat, his left thumb is visible. All further shots show no thumb under Mary Jane's chin. Actually, the left hand then seems to be holding Mary Jane by her right shoulder. Even when Mary Jane, who is not a super-human, is held by her throat, she is able to move her head, look down and scream.
Continuity: When fighting the Carjacker, Peter dropkicks him using a pipe. When Peter does this, the Carjacker has his cap on as he moves out of frame. When moving into the next shot, the Carjacker no longer has his hat, which now disappeared into thin air, never to be seen again.
Continuity: When Peter catches up with Mary Jane outside the cafe, there is a motorcycle that passes by Mary Jane. When the camera cuts back to Peter there is no evidence of a motorcycle passing, not even a sound.
Continuity: In the scene in Jameson's office after he throws his cigar out the window and the Goblin throws it back, when Jameson is looking at the cigar on his desk, he is sitting at an angle. Right before the Goblin crashes in, Jameson is sitting perfectly straight at the desk, with both hands on the desktop.
Continuity: In the end sequence between Peter and Mary Jane by Uncle Ben's grave, as the camera switches perspectives, there's a wayward lock of Peter's hair that disappears then reappears in different shots.
Continuity: After Mary Jane slips while carrying the food tray and the food is thrown into the air, the shot facing the ceiling showing the food falling shows the bowl of jello to hit first and the apple to hit last, while the next shot shows Peter catching the apple first and the bowl of jello last.
Revealing: Aunt May obviously flinches and her voice falters a second before the Green Goblin crashes through the wall.
Continuity: When Peter is taking out the trash, and MJ walks out and says, "Were you listening to that?". Watch Peter as he turns around to look at MJ twice.
Factual error: In the scene where Peter is clinging to the ceiling of his room with Normand Osborne looking for him, a drop of Peter's blood falls to the floor. It should simply splatter outward, but we see it "splash" upwards as if it was a bucket of blood hitting water.
Continuity: During the scene where the apartment building is on fire - a woman points directly up and exclaims, "Look up there!" while Spider-Man is still swinging towards the fire from several blocks away.
