Continuity: This is towards the end of the scene where Mary Jane had an encounter with the thugs and Spider-Man comes to save the day. After beating up the thugs, Spider-Man leaves through some dark alley way and Mary Jane looks around to find him. Suddenly, Spider-Man comes down his web, upside down, along a wall. She's about 3 feet away when he starts speaking, but when the angle changes and she jumps around she's right in front of him.
Spider-Man (2002) - 161 mistakes
Directed by Sam Raimi, starring Cliff Robertson, J.K. Simmons, James Franco, Kirsten Dunst, Rosemary Harris, Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe (add more)
Please note: No comic book discrepancies, please...
Factual error: During the bridge scene, when the Green Goblin first holds Mary Jane by her throat, his left thumb is visible. All further shots show no thumb under Mary Jane's chin. Actually, the left hand then seems to be holding Mary Jane by her right shoulder. Even when Mary Jane, who is not a super-human, is held by her throat, she is able to move her head, look down and scream.
Continuity: In the scene where Spider-Man finishes beating up the thugs and after Mary Jane kisses Spider-Man, when you watch the one shot from the side, Mary Jane only starts to put back on Spider-Man's mask. But when the angle changes, Spider-Man's mask is all the way on when Mary Jane didn't even move her hands.
Continuity: When Norman Osborn finds out he is the green goblin from his mirror reflection, watch closely at his hair in the reflection and the real him, his hair in his reflection has a thick strand of hair hanging over his fringe, and the actual him, has his hair without any parts hanging over his fringe. It changes about three quarters of the way through the scene.
Continuity: In the Thanksgiving scene where they are waiting for Peter to arrive, Peter swings onto the side of the building and drops down onto the balcony of his bedroom. To soften the drop onto the balcony, he bends his knees. When he unbends them and takes off his mask (the next shot) he is in the center of his bedroom, not on the balcony where he landed in the shot previous.
Continuity: In the big carnival scene when the Green Goblin has thrown a bomb at the balcony the shot cuts to Peter and he sees two people about to get crushed by a falling rock. If you slow it down you can see that they are facing Peter with the woman on the right and the man on the left. The shot changes and they have there backs to Peter and the woman is now on the left, the man on the right.
Revealing: In the scene after Spider-Man stops the convenient store robbers, it shows a newspaper article. This article virtually repeats itself. Here's what you can read: "Witnesses claim an unknown masked man was seen exiting the Ling Deli after stopping two suspects from attempting to rob the establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail....(cutoff)....attempting to rob that same establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail."
Continuity: When Peter runs out of school just after he beat up Flash, he runs into an alley and looks at his hand which is at waist level, then it cuts to a different view, his hand is now at neck level and one of his fingers is pointing up, then the shot after his hand is back to waist level and all fingers are straight and pointing down.
