Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Peter Parker confronts Uncle Ben's killer in the warehouse. After Parker slams him through the glass windows in the door, the killer drops his gun and pulls out a knife. After he is disarmed of the knife, Peter kicks him up against the wall. At this point the killer has the gun back in his hand.

Mistake Other: After Uncle Ben gets shot, he is clutching his wound. When Peter shows up, they hold hands until Uncle Ben dies, yet there is no blood on Peter's hand. If Uncle Ben were just covering a gun shot wound, wouldn't there be blood on his hand, which would then be on Peter's?

Mistake Continuity: When Peter is talking with Mary Jane outside the diner where she works, watch the positioning of the shadows in the background. As the camera shoots from Peter's point-of-view, the sun is casting shadows up the street. When the shots change to MJ's point-of-view, the shadows are pointing down the street, as if the sun had just moved ahead several hours.

Mistake Other: In the scenes where the cable car is dropping and swinging around, the occupants of the cable car remain standing in the same position. They should have been thrown to the floor when the initial drop was halted, and should have been tossed from side to side in the car as it swung around.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene when our hero, Peter Parker, is chasing the school bus for the first time, the bus stops and it is entirely visible that there is nothing in front of the bus. When the camera is switched to the inside of the bus to show Peter stepping inside to apologize to the bus-driver, however, a tractor-trailer suddenly appears only yards from the front of the bus (visible through the windshield). Some road markings also appear.

Mistake Continuity: In the World Unity Festival scene, as the balcony first collapses, a blond woman and a man are running to get out of the wreckage. But in the next shot, the same couple is just standing under the falling balcony looking up and Peter uses webbing to pull the standing-still couple to safety.

Mistake Continuity: In the school cafeteria after Peter saves Mary Jane, he notices the fork that is stuck to his hand. If you look at the back of his hand, the spider bite is gone. In the next scene, it is back again.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene just before the final fight between the Goblin and Spider-Man, Spider-Man gets knocked through a wall and rolls right up against another wall, but when the bomb flies in as he's getting to his feet, he's suddenly in a much more open area with no wall anywhere near him.

Mistake Continuity: When Spider-Man is taking snapshots of the armored car burglary, one of the burglars says "watch the street". As the camera snaps you see them pointing rifles or machine guns towards the sky and when Spider-Man lands on them to dispatch them, the weapons are gone...

Mistake Continuity: When Peter Parker runs into the alley and tests his wall-crawling for the first time, when he runs into the alley the wall he climbs is brick covered with dirty black soot/fungus. After he begins his climb it is completely brown.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Peter stands up after being bitten by the spider, there's the reflection of the cameraman with headphones on the television set behind him.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When Spider-Man is rescuing Mary Jane from falling to her death from the balcony, he catches her and spins his web to the balcony to save her and they bungie to inches from the ground. As they are preparing to bounce back up the shot rotates 90 degrees and you can see the counter weight that pulls them back up coming down to the ground. It's a weird one, this - there's a sound effect as the weight comes into view, so it's meant to be there (or else the sound's just a cover), but it can't be anything he attached his web to, as it was stuck straight onto the balcony. If it's falling, they should be too - his web's not pivoting around anything.

Mistake Continuity: When Peter and Mary Jane are talking outside the diner, her trechcoat collar is first lying flat, then is tucked in, then is flat. It happens several times when the shot goes back and forth from Peter to Mary Jane.

Mistake Other: When Peter is jumping from building to building after he first learns he has powers, you can see that he is jumping over the same alley over and over, only taken at different angles. The clotheslines (and the shadow of them on the wall) is a good pointer.

Mistake Continuity: When Peter and his uncle are talking in the car, and the camera is on Peter, you can see lots of plants and bushes in the background. When he gets out of the car, there are no plants or bushes.

Mistake Other: After Spider-Man saves MJ after the World Unity Festival and is swinging quickly away, he is carrying her so that she is facing backwards. When we see a shot of MJ smiling, however, her hair is blowing very lightly in the direction they're heading.

Mistake Continuity: When Harry introduces Peter to his father, Norman, and they're talking on the steps, there's a redhead in a purple sweater and beige trousers who goes past Peter's right shoulder just as Norman says "science whiz", then a few shots later walks behind Norman, then in the next shot of Norman walks behind him again.

Mistake Continuity: This is a mistake in the scene where Harry talks to Mary Jane on the cell phone. Someone else already mentioned that cell phones don't have dial tones, but failed to notice that if we couldn't hear Mary Jane actually talking, it wouldn't make sense to hear her hang up either.

Mistake Continuity: At the end when Spider-Man dumps the brick wall on the Green Goblin, the wall is still in one piece after it's landed in the long shot, but when the angle changes, the wall's almost destroyed, and the Goblin pushes his hand up through rubble.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Peter wakes up and discovers he can't see through his glasses you can see a phantom hand on the left sliding out of view in the mirror. This happens the last time Peter tries to see through his glasses. It's not a reflection of his hand due to the angled edge - it's on the main part of the mirror.
