Best movie mistakes this week (see this month / all time)
You may have noticed the "vote" buttons after every mistake on the site. If you've got a favourite mistake, vote for it to help it to the top of the leaderboard. Only one mistake per title is listed.
| Rank | Title | Mistake |
|---|---|---|
Stuck in the Suburbs | In the scene where Len and Eddie and Len's henchmen get out of the van they are in, you can see the camera crew [including soundman] filming in the reflection of it.
Iron Man | In the movie clip after the credits, you can see the reflection of the camera man in the picture frames.
Ever After | When Prince Henry first approaches Leonardo da Vinci and then chases after the thief, the horse he rides on has no markings on its face. After he shouts, Ugly peasant bastard!" Henry's horse has a white 'L' shape mark between its eyes, in the Prince's next close-up.
Annapolis | When asked how many seas the water from the Triton light is from, Huard says eight and is corrected with an answer of seven. The real number is 22.
Juno | In the scene where Juno and her friend are looking at the Pennysaver in the park, you can see the boom mic at the top of Juno's sunglasses.

No Country For Old Men | After lewelen is in the hospital, he crosses the border and goes to buy some clothes. How does he pay for the clothes? He is wearing his hospital gown (not the pants he put some of the stolen money in the pockets of). He does not have the bag with him either, so he could not have had any money with him. It is highly unlikely that he got his pants from the hospital before he left, because he would have just gotten the clothes, too. Even if he wanted to buy some clothes that were not bloody, he would have worn the bloody clothes to the store. It is also unlikely that he pre-paid for another set of clothes when he went to the store the first time, as he had no way of knowing he would need another set of clothes.
The Adventures of Robin Hood | The scene where Robin is being chased through Sherwood Forest, early on in the film, is supposed to be taking place at night. But, at several times, blue sky can be seen overhead. This was corrected on the DVD.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit | In the scene where the weasels are in Valiant's apartment and the leader says, "Step outta line and we'll hang you and your laundry out to dry," you can see the shadow of the mechanical arm used to hold the gun cast on Hoskins.
Bee Movie | When Barry lands on the windshield chasing the "Honey farms" truck and is climbing up in horror, the grasshopper that is dead is not where he's supposed to be; it's a little beetle. Then when the wipers turn on, the grasshopper is way down close to the wiper.
52 Pick Up | When Alan is struggling with Barbara on the drawbridge, the shadow of a camera/operator is on Alan's back as they get near the car.
Lethal Weapon 2 | The hitman in the tow truck leans into the rear/left corner of the cab as the surfboard approaches. The board hits the glass at the very top, dead center. Hence, it missed him completely, yet the hitman is killed (and by Riggs' reaction, quite gruesomely).
The Naked Prey | Although "Man" is supposed to be completely naked, there are several shots where his flesh-colored briefs are visible. Most noticeable when he is initially set loose to be chased.
Fargo | When Marge sees Gaer shove Carl's body into the wood chipper, there's a huge blood puddle around the wood chipper. But moments later, as she shoots runaway Gaer, the wood chipper is visible behind her and the puddle completely disappears. There are only minor blood stains.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly | After Blondie has "teamed up" with Angel Eyes, he hears a gunshot and says something like "Every gun sings its own tune", indicating that he's recognized the shot as being from Tuco's gun. But how did Tuco get his gun back? It certainly would have been confiscated when he entered the prison camp, and the chance that the guard on the train has that exact gun is extremely unlikely - he would most likely have had an officially issued sidearm.
The Bank Job | In the end credits, the characters are grouped into categories - the category "THE VILLAINS" is misspelled as "THE VILLIANS".
The Bourne Supremacy | Bourne drags the girl to an underground room and holds her against the wall. Her fringe has at first two hairs down, half a second later, without her having moved, all the hair is covering her forehad, half a second later, from a different angle, she is hiding her face and the hair is neatly combed sideways. And so on for the rest of the scene.
Lethal Weapon 4 | When the sedan is struck by the train, it launches into the air and explodes, but doesn't sustain severe impact damage. The car rolls over in midair and it is nearly straight - not heavily bent or crushed as the entire left side should have been. Even a slow moving train heavily batters the passenger vehicle it hits.
The Hoax | Gere shoots an arrow at a picture stuck to a glass. The position of the picture keeps changing all the time.
A Shot in the Dark | Subtitle (English) appears to be incorrect: "He is setting the scions of criminal investigations back 1000 years" should be "He is setting the science of criminal investigations back 1000 years." "Scions" is a description of the branches of a tree.
Lions for Lambs | After the two soldiers die, the satellite image shows them lying about a meter apart from one another. However, the ground shot shows the soldiers lying less than half a foot apart.
The Frighteners | At the cemetery, as Frank grabs Ray the ghost to pull him from his grave, the grave diggers are seen shoveling dirt into the half-filled hole. A few seconds later, Frank yanks Ray out and the grave is now completely filled and the grave diggers are gone.
I Am Legend | When the CGI lion eats the CGI deer, no blood comes out.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall | When Rachel drops Peter back at the hotel after their first date, when Peter gets out of the car, Rachel turns and puts her hands on the steering wheel. It then cuts to a wide shot of Peter outside of the car and Rachel is still facing Peter's window.
Lethal Weapon 3 | During the armored car chase, the bad guys' truck plate number ends "T2" while Delores' plate ends "E4". After Riggs tosses one bad guy out the back and decides to climb onto the outside, the trucks have switched sides with Delores curbside and the bad guy on her left. But two quick close-ups of the trucks bumping together shows Delores' truck is again on the left.
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines | The Terminator says that the T-X was sent through time to eliminate the future lieutenants of the resistance because John Connor could not be located. Why didn't Skynet just send the T-X to a time when Connor could be located?
Hell Drivers | In the final chase sequence, when Tom takes number one truck, its registration number is 845DMX and it has a broken headlight. When Tom drives over a bridge the reg number has changed to 322EMY, but when he reaches the quarry the reg number is back to 845DMX and the broken headlight has been repaired.
Employee of the Month | When Zach first talks to Amy, he advises her not to use the excuse "I work here". But Zach was still walking over to her when she said that, so there's no way he could have known she said it.
Tiger Town | Alex is racing his bicycle across a bridge over the Detroit River on the way to the stadium. The bridge is the one leading from the Detroit mainland to Belle Isle, an island park, where there is no residential area.
Smokey and the Bandit | In the scene where Snowman and the Bandit are deciding a method of using the radio to avoid being heard by the police they decide to "start in the basement, stay on the odd channels, and switch every time.". But obviously throughout the movie the writers either forgot this or Buford caught onto this pretty quickly because everyone seemed to be on the same channel the whole time.
Death at a Funeral | In the study, when Peter shows Daniel the photos, Daniel places the first photograph (at Regent's Park) on the desk and holds the second. In the close-up of the desk, as Daniel holds the second photo, the photograph on the desk is actually a different photo than what was just placed on the desk.
