I watched this on Disney +

This show is a very enjoyable watch, and one that for a while was nearly impossible to find. Thankfully it's now on Disney +, both seasons, and in full.

This follows Peggy Carter in the first couple years or so after the end of World War 2 where she is now living in the US and working with the Strategic Scientific Reserve, in the early days of what would eventually become the foundation of SHIELD. As well as her dealing with her emotions in the after math of the supposed death of Captain America from his first movie.

This is classic spy thriller stories with a Marvel twist with fun and engaging characters. And thankfully the sexism of the 40s and 50s was not overblown or done cartoony to hammer a point, but seemed to be done in a realistic historical context. Had this show been made in 2016 or later, that may not have been the case.

There is a cliff hanger at the end of Season 2 that left it open for a season 3, however that never materialized and unless there's a comic or something that picked up where it leaves off, that threat doesn't seem it will ever be resolved. However ignoring that cliff hanger, the two seasons wrap up in a nice little bow as it's own series and definitely worth a watch.
The 2013 one shot Marvel Short about Agent Carter is loosely connected to this and it appears this show makes that short non canon. However the 2013 short does function as a sort of pseudo pilot for the show, but you can honestly skip it and not miss anything.

Mistake Status: I don't plan on doing much with the TV shows of the live action MCU stuff. Some of the movies sure but the shows are a bit much. That said, Agent Carter is the likely major exception to that as I do want to do mistakes for this show. But I don't know when I'll get to it, as it is low priority.

Continuity mistake: When the alarm in the office goes off, there are clocks visible around the alarm. The time on the New York clock is 10:40. About 15 seconds later, as the agents go into the meeting room, the New York clock has gone back 5 minutes to 10:35. It is definitely the same clock because the alarm is visible next to it.
