Question: How did Hercules get into the Underworld?
Answer: I always assumed one of the gods told him how to get there after they won the battle. The underworld in Greek mythology could be traveled to by mortals, albeit extremely ill-advised.

Answer: Hercules was born on Mt. Olympus. So, he probably just was able to know where the Underworld was located and how to get in.
Answer: I believe that all gods can get to the Underworld, but I'd assume that Hercules had to go through Mt Olympus just to get there.
