Question: When Ross Webster is talking to his accountant Simpson, he wonders how $85,000 disappeared. Wouldn't Simpson be able to see all the payroll checks to see that Gus had two of them if he dug deeper in his investigation vs. both him and Ross seeing Gus pull up in a shiny new Lamborghini and outing himself as the thief? I realise Simpson isn't a fan of computers as this scene has established, but all he would have had to do was talk to the payroll clerk about the two checks that were presented to Gus when they were handed out, assuming no-one else had two checks with two vastly different amounts in them. Question: How did both Akeem and Semmi get a job at McDowell's without Akeem's parents noticing? Also, wouldn't Mr. McDowell have noticed in doing Akeem's pre-employment background checks who Akeem really was vs finding out when the parents arrived? (00:44:08 - 01:29:34)
Answer: How would Akeem's parents know what they were up to? They think he's taking an American vacation, and in the pre social media days, it was hard to keep track of people. As for McDowell, what sort of background check did you expect him to do on a fast food employee in the 80s? McDowell seems like a guy who would cut corners anyway.
There aren't exactly a lot of people lining up to work at McDowell's, so Cleo gives the applications a once over and hires them on the spot. I'm in my 40's and I've had plenty of jobs that didn't even call my references, let alone perform a background check.

Question: In the beginning where Anderton and his team are having trouble identifying the house where Mr. Marks kills his wife and lover, why didn't the houses have numbers on them? That would have made it easier than just looking for the only house whose door was open.
Chosen answer: The houses did have numbers, but the images from the precogs didn't include them. Part of the difficulty of their method is that they have to decipher the random, jumbled images the precogs send them.

Answer: It probably wasn't a check issued at the company. He could have transferred the money to a bank account.
