Trivia: The show's name was originally pitched as "Mission: Uncomfortable." Sal has stated that he thinks Impractical Jokers is a stupid name.

Trivia: In an interview with GQ, Sal said the cops have been called on the show around four times. Each time, the cops that showed up were fans of the show and understood what was going on, much to the chagrin of the persons who called the cops.

Trivia: Murr ended up becoming very good friends with Dr. Frank, the MD who gave him a prostate exam in front of a group of people as one of his punishments.

Drive, Drive, Drive - S9-E3

Trivia: Upon completing the punishment in which Q had to deliver food to his friends while the animatronic puppets in the car sang a 15-second song on a loop for 11.5 hours, he abandoned the car and got a ride home. The other Jokers instructed the driver of that car to play the same song the entire time Q was in the car.

Trivia: Joe Gatto left the show in December 2021 due to personal issues, including the dissolution of his marriage. Joe and his wife later reconciled, though, as of this writing, he has not rejoined the show.

Trivia: While filming in a department store, Murr was instructed to hold a bra up to another man for a size measurement. The man did not find it funny and attempted to attack Murr before security intervened. Despite being told it was for a hidden camera show, the man's anger was not assuaged, and he waited for Murr outside the store to confront him again. Murr was able to use an alternate exit.

Trivia: While filming a prank in which each of the four Jokers were working as cashiers at a grocery store, during Sal's turn, he was instructed to take a picture of a customer's credit card with his phone. This led to the customer calling the police on them. It turns out she had her identity stolen a couple weeks prior. According to Murr, the police took the woman out of the store to defuse the situation, and then came back in the store and told them that they are fans of the show.

The Q-Pay - S6-E17

Trivia: It cost the show $10,000 to have Q's long hair converted into a wig for Murr to wear as punishment. Q grew out his hair for 2 years for no other reason than so that they could do this as a punishment for Murr. Q sarcastically says he suffered for his art.

Trivia: One of the punishments the Jokers have wanted to do, but the network won't approve, is going to a couples' wedding and objecting to their nuptials, and then apologize and say they realise they are at the wrong wedding.
