Continuity mistake: When Lizzie is at Dr. Sterling's she is sitting in a chair with a rug hanging over it. If you look at the top right corner of the rug you can see it's folded. Suddenly the corner is unfolded. (00:37:30)

Continuity mistake: When Lizzie, her mom and her grandparents have finished eating dinner (after her mother's mugging), Lizzie is cleaning the table and removes the two bowls in front of her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother comments that the mugging would not have happened had it not been for Lizzie, in which Lizzie's mother tells her to quiet down while the camera angle changes. In this shot you see Lizzie coming back to the table after overhearing the comment and picking up the same two bowls.

Mrs. Wurtzel: Come on, this is the most important day of your life.
Elizabeth: I thought that's when you get married.
Mrs. Wurtzel: Huh, no honey, that's the worst day of your life.

Elizabeth: That article... it was just wish fulfillment. I was writing about how I wanted things to be. And the way people talking about it, the way you talked about it, it made it seem real.
Ruby: Well maybe it can be.
Elizabeth: No, it was just a dream I held onto for way too long.
